I feel that his eyes need to be a bit bigger. That's only if your're going for the style used in the game. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Hmm... the model is good, but the eyes still a bit creepy... try making something like this: sta.sh/01w68c1wh6hs (i made this model in about 20 minutes,just to show how i wanted the eyes, i didn't put so much details in the horns )

Did you see Shniders head? Ask her to import her Volteer head model to your model, not trying to sound rude, but personally I like her Volteer head better, it looks more accurate. His wing thumbs still don't look right... I keep forgetting to draw you the Volteer reference and I am terribly sorry. His chest plates still look funny, but overall he looks nearly complete. Remember ask Shnieder for her Volteer head!

 I thought the goal was to create a style similar to pixar or dreamworks rather the toony look brought about by in-game restrictions.

Yes, that is the goal. BUT, the dragon designs, ell they were actuall pretty good. A few wing inacurassies here and there, but they had potential. Other characters in the game though, THEY looked cartoony, like the enemies I mean. The dragons looked fine, well they needed some more detail like better texturing, but overall keep the dragons as they were.

Ah ok. I understand a bit better now. still feels a bit of a shame to just throw all that work away. attaching the new head to the mesh is going to be an absolute chore which is why I am balking a bit at that.


Is there any way the existing head could be fixed? 


I could post a couple renders from different angles and you could draw some redlines on top of the renders(if your program can handle layers just draw on another layer) so I can see how there could be a middle ground between the two interpretations.

Oooh.... Alright, then scratch that then... Okay, to fix up that head, please, look at my head reference. I'm pretty sure it is as close as what the real Volteer looks like, it took me a while to figure it out so it could be easier for the Modellers to, well, model it.


And I'm afraid I can't do that, my laptop is awful, and it is not able to handle that much. I'm so sorry I keep on forgetting to draw out his full reference, I'll try either today or tomorrow to finish it.

I've done some modifications. I'll post them late tonight or early tommorrow. I'm getting closer and closer.
