You know you've made it as a species when you're so bloody massive that you can just hang out on the beach like this, totally unbothered, just because there's nothing big enough (out of water) to eat you. But look at the neck, and see these guys have a pretty rough life between fellow males, orcas and great whites. In other words, there are a few damn good reasons they sleep like logs when they come out to safe ground.
