This is old art of an older idea i had a while back for Legend of Korra, retouched, and re-colored.

An AU of book 4's opening I wanted to see badly.

The restaurant cleared out, as if everyone had been given a que to leave.
Only Korra sat at her table. She looked in the direction of the powder room, Asami didn't come out.
Until finally she heard the sound of a steampunk mechanized wheel chair approaching with a pack of men and women behind the chair goer. She was old, easily as old as Katara or the fire lord, but her eyes were as vibrant as Korra's used to be, and as menacing and confident as Amon's.
Azula:"Hello pet..." the old woman said and leaned over kissing Korra on both cheeks in welcome , not that there was anything she could do about it but wince away.
Azula:"Don't tell me you don't remember the one who killed you..."
Korra frowned:"I've never met you before in my life."
Azula:"Life, yes, past life no. You were bald then..." -she chuckled at her own humor-
Korra glanced again at the powder room but got the inkling that no one was coming out.
Azula:"You have no idea how much of a smile you've given an old woman's day. It's been a long time, Avatar..."
Korra:"Where's Asami."
Azula:"You're servant girl, or lady friend or whatever she is to you will be able to push you around to her hearts content in good time. For now though...we should talk just the two of us about this Red Lotus problem..."
Waiter:"Ghampai ladies?"
Azula:"Yes please..."
Korra:"No."
Azula:"You really should. Invigorates more than tea, I find."
Korra:"WHAT do you want..."
Azula:"The Red Lotus and the White Lotus alike meddle their noses in affairs of state they've no business in, as you and all your past lives are aware I'm sure. The Red Lotus however has a general distaste for your existence...and mine given my regrettably royal bloodline."
Korra:"And Lord Zuko..."
Azula:"And his children dear. See the point now honey? They're all of them in danger...and i'm sure you don't wish to see his grandbrats in...well similar situations to you and I, at best."
Korra:"...There's not much I can do from a chair, I'm sure you know how that feels."
Azula:"Careful dear, making me get up is never a good start board...but on that note, what you can do without having to get uncomfortable at all...is who you can contact in the spirit world for me..."
Korra:"Who..."
Azula to guard:"Shut the door and leave us...we need this to be between us girls....Zaheer isn't done with you dear, nor me...we aren't safe while he accesses the spirit world, so let's see what we can do about that...."
