Description
Part. 2 of "Why do you have her voice."
For those who are caught up, this based on the theory of what has happened to Amber and Pyrrha's Soul post death, given that both were given the maiden power (or in Pyrrha's case, 1/4 of it) before their deaths.
Think about it, Pyrrha's the only person to have died the way she did. Amber was shot, and just died, she didn't dissipate, Pyrrha is the only recorded death on the show where we've seen her light up with the same colour of energy/aura as the maiden power she was radiated with and the only one subjected to mad science to be infused with said power, with unpredictable results...
We know that her voice is in Ruby's dreams, but also cut away from Cinder when we've heard her voice, and now Cinder is acting as if she's horrified at the brutality of her own team mates...
We know that Ozpin's soul has merged or shared space with Oscar....so if we believe what he and Qrow said about the new host becoming, or becoming more like the previous maiden..........
.........Well, do you believe in destiny?
HERE IS PART THREE

Imagine how screwed up it would be if Cinder was faking this entire time to be Pyrrah just to mess with Jaune's head? Or this whole thing was just an illusion casted by Emerald... I mean, the original theory behind these panels are just genius and I would love nothing more then to see this in the real show. But just think how evil it would be for someone to actually be evil enough to do that to poor Jaune.

This is gonna be an awkward moment.
Pyrrha: "Hey it's me, the ghost of the girl who loves you. Also, I'm possessing the body of my murderer so I can kiss you. Hope you don't mind that."

Jaune: "I...."
Pyrrha?: "Jaune...."
Jaune: "Why do you say my name like her?"
(Ghost images of Pyrrha and Cinder)
Cinder: 'Is this guy really that dense!'
Pyrrha: 'Sadly yes'

I'm thinking Cinder's distress has more to do with her being weakened by Ruby and she's now thinking the same thing as Mercury and Emerald: "What have I gotten myself into and was it worth it?"
It's easy ignore things like Tyrian's violent insanity when you're confidant you can beat him if it came to that. Now Cinder's realizing for the first time how dangerous the other members of the cabal (that seems the best word for Salem's group) are to her in her current state.

Possible...except...brutality towards a Grimm isn't really "Oh the humanity!" material or show of power.

Tyrian's incredibly unstable and loves hurting people, Dr. Watts wanted to get rid of Cinder because she failed, Hazel seems to only respect personal strength, Salem is the only reason Cinder is still alive and with the cabal and if she withdrew her favor...
Well, it's in Cinder's best interests to show no weakness and stay strong.

Thing is, she has no right to be shocked at what Tyrian or any other of Salem's crew does. She is responsible for Remnant's version of Columbine and Sandy Hook. I don't buy it, not when we factor her obscene monstrosity into things.
Not only that, but the dreams DO have merit. There is no way Ruby physically heard Pyrrha and Cinder's last exchange, as there are too many obstacles in the way, including the character's positioning relative to Ruby and their sound levels, at least to the point where if that's the official explanation, I can rightfully call bullshit. So...how DOES Ruby have that dialogue in her head. Because of this, we cannot take the dialogue in the second dream at face value. Simply put, shit be weird, and it likely involves Pyrrha directly. However, time will tell whether or not it is as a character in her own right or just as the resource pinata she has always been used as.

I never said she wasn't shocked, I said she thought she could handle the others. And she might be able to if Ruby hadn't weakened her. So now she's surrounded by villains who'll turn on her at the first sign of weakness and it's fully sinking in how deep she's gotten.
And I didn't say the dreams didn't have merit.
So...we agree?

I'm saying that her having a shocked reaction at all is out-of-character for her, because she's responsible for far worse, and that's regardless of her ability to handle the others. Nothing to do with her realizing how deep she's gotten, she already knew how deep this was going to go. Again, glorified school shooting.

I don't think we agree on this. I'm taking into account what you think she is thinking of and countering by saying that she knew full well what she got herself into, and thus has no right to question it, or the consequences of her actions.

I'm saying she knew full well what she got herself into as well. I'm also saying she thought she could handle it and now she's deeper than expected and weaker than expected.
I think we're arguing semantics at this point.
I agree with what you're saying, so I don't see the point in arguing.

Makes you wonder how the other two left members of the cabal really are, they might be even more dangerous (there were two chairs empty in the meeting as far as I remember).

My main complaint about Volume 4 is that they got rid of the best villains (Neo and Roman) who had so much story they could build on and replaced them with villains who had no backstory and little characterization beyond:
Hazel: Thinks people should be strong. Helped a stranger out.
Dr. Watts: He's a doctor. We don't know of what. He was mean to Cinder and knows Professor Lionheart.
Tyrian: Insane, loves violence, follows Salem as a goddess. Is a scorpion Faunus and probably in the White Fang.
That's it. What's next, killing off Ren and Nora and replacing them with Neptune and Sun's teammates from the Vytal Festival?
