For those who are caught up, this based on the theory of what has happened to Amber and Pyrrha's Soul post death, given that both were given the maiden power (or in Pyrrha's case, 1/4 of it) before their deaths.
Think about it, Pyrrha's the only person to have died the way she did. Amber was shot, and just died, she didn't dissipate, Pyrrha is the only recorded death on the show where we've seen her light up with the same colour of energy/aura as the maiden power she was radiated with and the only one subjected to mad science to be infused with said power, with unpredictable results...
We know that her voice is in Ruby's dreams, but also cut away from Cinder when we've heard her voice, and now Cinder is acting as if she's horrified at the brutality of her own team mates...
We know that Ozpin's soul has merged or shared space with Oscar....so if we believe what he and Qrow said about the new host becoming, or becoming more like the previous maiden..........

There are three theories for Pyrrha's return that I'm liking so far: She comes back as herself, she survives within Cinder thanks to the attempt to turn her into the Fall Maiden, or she returns as a Grimm.
The middle one is easily the worst, given Cinder's actions and investment in the Fall of Beacon. Hopefully, her green eyes and polarity semblance would be enough to keep the others from outright murdering her.

I remember coming across a potential scenario based on a similar if not the same theory.
Basically, after finding out that Pyrrha resides in/possesses Cinder's body, Jaune devotes himself to protecting the girl he loves, vowing never to fail her again as a partner like the night Beacon fell, no matter the cost. However, due to the fact it's still Cinder's body, everyone else starts to see him as betraying his allies. Combined with the knowledge that Jaune forged his Beacon admission papers and that he was the only other person to venture into the vault where Amber resided in besides Pyrrha and Ozpin on the night Beacon fell, people begin accusing him of being a double agent for Cinder and Salem.
In the end, Jaune's attempts to explain fall on deaf ears. He ends up being put on trial and subject to public execution for aiding the false Fall maiden, alluding to how Joan of Arc was executed under the charge of heresy.

How I'd predict the future would go:

"Move it, you piece of shit!"
Pyrrha could only grunt in pain as the two guards shoved her to the stone floor of the dark cell and slammed the door behind her. As she tried staggering back up, her eyes adjusted to the darkness to see Jaune Arc sitting against the wall, his head slumped downwards.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha cried out, she crawled quickly over to him, only to gasp in shock at the state of his injuries. Scraps, cuts, and bruises seemingly covered every inch of his body. His left eye was swollen shut, and the cut on his forehead had opened up again, letting blood trickle down his face. Pyrrha tore off a strip of cloth from her, Cinder's, dress to drench it in the meager bowl of water the guards had given them to drink and then she tried her best to wash Jaune's wounds. When team RWBY, Nora, and Ren had caught up with the reunited duo, they had been eager to dish out their revenge for all the pain and loss they had suffered and Jaune's perceived betrayal. Pyrrha remembered herself begging for Jaune to just run away, to save himself while he could.
But the ever-so-dutiful Jaune refused.
He would never leave or be forced to leave by her, the only partner he would ever accept, the girl he loved, ever again, even if it meant fighting against his friends. At first, Jaune awed her as he stood his ground in relentless determination for more than an hour straight, his tactical mindset, combat skills, and physical strength and endurance having evolved and become honed during her wretched absence. But the fact that he was outnumbered six-to-one, and that Jaune was fighting only to disarm whereas Nora, Ren, and RWBY were aiming to maim or kill, meant that the outcome was never in question. From the start of the battle through its fierce duration to its end, Jaune begged his friends to listen to his pleas, trying to tell them that Pyrrha had survived through Cinder and that he would never hurt them, only to be silenced when Yang crushed his windpipe with a vicious punch, ending the fight. From there, Pyrrha could only remember screaming in horror until she had fainted.
In captivity, their treatment hadn't fared much better. Inhibitor collars had been placed around their necks, preventing Jaune and Pyrrha from using their semblance and their aura. The latter meant that wounds that normally would've been healed by aura now healed at a snail's pace if any at all. To make matters worse, Salem's relentless orchestrated Grimm attacks had made the people of Remnant desperate to gain any sort of upper hand, and revenge, by any means necessary. And that ultimately meant torturing Jaune and Pyrrha for information. Sometimes they'd torture Jaune in front of Pyrrha as a way to use their love for one another against the other. And the sight of Jaune in pain always broke Pyrrha; however, any knowledge she had Salem's plans were limited, leaving her helpless to offer any information that would sate their captors' interests enough to make them stop torturing Jaune. The only reason they'd patch up their injuries was to keep them alive longer, and their haphazard way of doing so showed it.
And this was all happening because of her.
"I'm sorry, Jaune. All of this...all of this is because of me," Pyrrha choked, trying to keep herself from tearing up. Her hands dropped the damp cloth strip, shaking too much to continue tending to Jaune's wounds. "None of this would have happened if I had just listened to you that night at Beacon! If I hadn't betrayed your trust in me and just run away with you to fight another day! But no, I had to be foolish and try to fix a mistake that was never mine to fix, and look where that got us!" And with that, Pyrrha sobbed openly as she buried her head into Jaune's chest.
All their friends they had ever made had abandoned them. Her parents didn't even recognize her and even tried to attack. Jaune's parents had disowned him for his alleged connection to Cinder and to add insult to injury, took away Crocea Mors, calling him unworthy of the sword. Soon the two would be put on trial and most likely sentenced to death in a court so dead-set against them it might as well be executed now. And all Pyrrha had to offer to comfort Jaune was her voice. No, not hers. It was Cinder's voice, so not even that. What comfort could the boy she love draw from the voice that had belittled him for the better part of a year, mocked him for how weak he was, and taunted him for not being able to save her?
And then Pyrrha felt a soft hug around her form.
It had taken all the strength Jaune could muster, but he did so without hesitation. As Pyrrha looked up into his cobalt eyes, she saw not blame, but kindness and concern. And when Jaune lifted up finger to wipe away the tears from her verdant eyes, she knew what he was trying to say.
I don't blame you for anything. Be strong. No matter what happens, you'll always be my partner and the girl that I love.
For the first time in a long time, Pyrrha felt comfort and companionship. Things she had been deprived of for far too long.

Hopefully, Ozpin/Oscar and/or other members of the Inner Circle would figure out what's going on and bust them out. I mean, they tried to turn Pyrrha into the Fall Maiden and then both Cinder and Jaune begin claiming that she's Pyrrha? Surely that would be enough to spark some behind-the-scenes investigation?
Maybe that's just the romantic in me hoping for a happy ending.
