I've created a sci-fi space opera where one of the factions is pretty much an amalgamation of WW1 Europe complete with diesel-punk variations on vehicles of the era.

close, it would qualify as one in WW2 standards. This design is based off the French Schneider tank from WW1; based off the Holt Tractor track base.

light, medium or heavy?

wikipedia says it was 14 tons so I think that's light especially when compared to the British Mark series which averaged 28 tons. But the Medium MkA was also 14 tons and was called a 'medium' so personally I'm not sure.
