"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." ~ Forest Gump.

That aside, I really like this picture, because it is really cool, and can be interpreted in many ways.

For me, this picture shows that life is truly random, that everything and anything can happen. The clock and umbrella are about to hit the man, but he doesn't know it, for he is blind to unexpected circumstance. And as such, he keeps going on the way he has been, smoking a cigarette, relaxing and making the best of what has come his way.
The clock itself is also something important to the piece, as time is important itself. How long does one have before the inevitable demise?
And lastly, the marks on the wall give a sort of enchantment to the piece. It looks like running water, only it seems to be falling upward. It gives a sense of magic, a sort of hope that maybe everything will turn out fine.

Hope I didn't ramble too much...

it kind of looks like someone waiting for the firing squad,

the clock tilting is how he's about to die & running out of time

the umbrella is his protection flying away
and i like that he's smiling like he doesn't care.

but that is just my (morbid?) interpretation : )

It's like he is waiting for something, he's resigned to take whatever comes along even his own end.
That's what I thought of when I saw it anyway
What's that on the wall it's like liquid runnig upwards on the wall, crazy! I like all the little details you've used, it's a great stimulus. Maybe you should show it to a writer, see what's his story according to them

It's a great composition and I have been looking at it for 10 minutes now ans still have not come up with how I would interpret it. I will keep looking...and get back to you. It is very Dali-esque, it definitely makes you think about the individual elements and how they could possible relate to on another. Nice work.
