Description
The origins of this particular picture probably needs a little 'splainin' I think. Back when I was RPing in a site called Yusoh and used to mod there, I had a few members under my wings for whom I tended to think up overly grandiose plots for. One of these members who I was fond of, Dream 21, got a particular gem of which the main plot is revealed during a conference of professors from every region over a multinational crisis concerning attacks over several key locations of rare and/or legendary Pokemon in all regions.

In this world, several legendary Pokemon (such as Mew and Lugia) have the ability to breed and such though they're considered extremely rare, extremely powerful and extremely valuable, making them prime targets for acts of wanton terrorism or crazy religious fanatics looking t harness their capabilities.

To preserve what they have for safekeeping, some of national treasures from the state's vaults were shipped to a little-known region (fictional) named Yusoh which so far has no record of major crimewaves and seems to be a safe holding area for the beasts.
When the convoy transporting said legendaries and pseudo legendaries to the main town HQ in Yusoh gets ambushed however, it's clear the little region isn't all as peaceful as it seems.
In the scuffle, all the Pokemon are retrieved safely except for one, that is codename Li-Ying; a baby Lugia whose parents have disappeared after a blitz on Whirl Islands.

Therfore from here on, there's a race against time to find out who took the powerful little tyke, what they want to do with him and who's behind all the attacks which seem co-ordinated and far too widespread over several regions to be the work of a solitary group.

Making cameos here are:

~ Professor Samuel Oak, leading Pokemon expert and generally the head of the bunch. His crisis is centered mainly around the fact that Cinnabar island's laboratory and gym have been razed to the ground, leaving several researchers in the past shady Mewtwo project dead---the ex-Rocket and dubious gym leader Blaine has gone into hiding and it is he who these villains are presumably looking for in this region. Gary Oak plays the young, intrepid field researcher who lands on Cinnabar to give news to his grandfather of the situation on-ground.

~ Professor Roland Birch, Hoenn; major crisis is situated near Meteor Falls which has caved in due tomultiple unexplained explosions. He's at ground zero at the moment, and in the RP, the earth hasn't stopped shaking yet.

~ Little-known but powerful military figure, Professor Claude Hastings from Fiore who created the elite ranger divisions which serve as the Pokemon region's version of UN Peacekeepers during dire times. While his region has not been hijacked by any attacks, he sends a young Manaphy over to Yusoh for safekeeping and agrees to lease out a contingent of his special forces Rangers to aid the other regions with their problems.

Not pictured (yet) are professors Willard Elm and Spencer Hale (from the third movie w/ Entei) of Johto which has been badly brutalized by this attacks (Elm's lab was ambushed which results in him being badly injured, the death of his wife and several important documents gone missing), and Professor Danforth Rowan reporting from Sinnoh's Battle Frontier where their yearly meetings often take place.
