Awesome picture. I think the wall came out fine along with the turtles, it limits the viewers perspective than just having an empty void or any other background. Keep up the good work and I think you should continue using walls when and when they aren't appropriate but can still fit in.
I did notice that it appears like Donnie is looking at a not so appropriate spot, whether you did this on purpose or by accident it is great and comedic, because it makes the picture look like every one is focused on potential baddies while Donnie isn't
