My favourite too, alongside McGann. Excellent likeness.

Thanks to you - I like the way McGann's Doctor was made to look a little like a younger Hartnell, with the clothes and long hair and suchlike.

Once again a great piece! The first Doctor in all his glory!
How about a pic of his granddaughter Susan?

Ooh yes, now that greatly appeals to me! Carol Anne Ford had (has) a wonderful face - I will definately draw her! Thank you!

It's definitely a good likeness (as has already been noted ).
He must be the only incarnation of the Doctor where flubbing his lines could be considered part of his nature.

Thank you - what you say is true. I think I used to enjoy it when he exploded with anger - he would really go for it!

You are very welcome! Any plans to do Peter Cushing's Doctor? I'd love to see him in your style

It's a funny thing - but Peter Cushing is one of my favourite actors. And Doctor Who is a favourite television programme. But put the two together, and it doesn't quite work. IMO, of course
But yes, I would love to draw Cushing's Doctor at some stage, possibly alongside Bernard Cribbins, who is another hero of mine!

I agree with you! I love Peter Cushing and I love Doctor Who, but... those movies are hard to get through. It's a shame they didn't have Cushing play the Doctor a bit more like he does Van Helsing. Though maybe that would have been too dashing back then!

I agree.
It kills me to say it, but there was always an element of 'utting on a show for the kids' about those films, which has never been the case with the television shows.
The first films was probably more guilty of this, with some particularly irritating stuff from the late Roy Castle!

Thank you - he is still known as 'the grumpy' Doctor by some. And yet he has moments of mischief and jollity that always make me grin like a Cheshire cat!

Ha ha, I bet. I haven't had a chance to see him in action as much as some of the other doctors, though, so I'm not as familiar with him.

Well, he IS a grumpy so-and-so in his first couple of stories, and then he mellows - due either to the script-writers, or within the continuity of the character. You'll love him!

Hmmm. Maybe I'll see if I can track down some of his turn as the Doctor on Youtube or something. Sounds like it'd be worth a shot anyway.

If you do, I hope you'll enjoy him - sadly a lot of his stories exist only in audio format, but there are still a fair number of complete episodes to see!

That's kinda sad, that his Doctor mostly only exists in audio. But, I'll see what I can find maybe.

Hmmm. Hmmm. Doctor Smith? Doctor who? Nice job. One of my favorite pictures of Hartnell's Doctor.

Haha, yes - I loved all his mannerisms, he truly was an eccentric. And it never seemed forced or artificial, either!
Thank you - I'm glad you like the pic
