Description
Went through some unexpected emotional pain today, I'm not going to tell you about it other than it prompted me to want to post this picture which I made a long time ago.I'll tell you what, God, just like any other father, wants to not be ignored and listened to and respected and obeyed. Earthly fathers are older, and most of the times they are wiser, but whether they are or not, God put them in charge and commanded us to respect them. (Of course if parents say to do something contrary to God's will we shouldn't do it, or if they tell us to not do something that is stated in the Bible is God's will, then you should do it. Disobeying your parents in those instances is right. But if they are not telling you to sin, then by all means obey them.) They are God's mirror of our disobedience to God the Father. After all, if we can't obey the father we can see, then what about the Father in Heaven we can't see?
No matter how old I get, I'm always my dad's child. And sometimes it's hard to remember that we obey them because we love them, not because we "have to". Just like with God, we obey not to be accepted, but because we are accepted we want to obey. I assume I will continue relearning and remembering this throughout my life.
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
~Romans 1:4-5 (NLT)

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the picture!! Your description is also touchingβ it rejuvenates me to obey my own parents because GOD created them to guide me, just as He guides me.
GOD BLESS~!

This picture is just stunningly beautiful. I believe it can reflect the trials and pains anyone goes through and we reflect on His mercy. I'm 57 and I still think of myself as His little boy--even though I wasn't saved until I was 20.

I'm praying for you, dear. I don't know the situation, but know that you have and me supporting you.
You know how my own daddy broke our family apart through his sinful actions, and how it tested and grew our faith. God has done a miraculous job in healing the four of us, and I am joyful to say that my dad is connecting with God again. Remember that God works all things for good, and that in time we will see the bigger picture. That is how you comforted me.
Message me if you ever need someone to talk to. I know that God is proud of you
