If the concept of "second chances" was ever personified by an iguana, that would be Cleo: a desert princess born into an extended family of Black Witches with heavy expectations on her shoulders. Cleo trained intensely under the eye of her mentors, but practicing curses simply wasn't the path she saw for her life. She once upon a time manipulated air, shadow, and electricity with great skill, graduated with her Black Magic Mastery certificate, politely accepted the praise of her family... then left home and immediately sacrificed her top-notch Black Magic skills in favor of the White Magic basics. Changed her entire appearance in the process, too. She may not show it on her face, but Cleo is thrilled to pursue her true passion of healing and the tangible elements and hasn't looked back since... even though her family would be devastated to hear that two decades of schooling "went to waste." Zero, zip, zilch skill with the Black Magic elements remains in her wheelhouse and she couldn't be happier. Currently, she's learning magic from Tiramisu , whom she tolerates despite the chipmunk's flighty nature and love of D&D.
Cleo is extremely logical and serious when it comes to her magic... Always pulls on her rubber gloves and safety goggles before working with potions. Prefers to collect her ingredients by hand, as she highly distrusts the quality found in outdoor markets, in the hands of slimy salesman, and especially anything sold by Flint. Even other witches are suspect to her scrutinizing gaze... Cleo isn't fond of collaborating with other magic users. She's highly independent and although she tolerates conversations, she'll strive to avoid group work at almost all costs. She was "the smart kid" back in school and isn't about to let anyone mooch off her work now that she's out in "the real world." Snoop in her notebook and you'll be pinned at wandpoint until you cough up yours.
But despite her preference for working alone, Cleo firmly believes in second chances. She'd stake her life on the idea that someone's outward behavior can never tell the whole story, and that behind every rude remark is hidden personal pain. She'll never pry, but will (mostly patiently) lend a listening ear when someone asks if they can talk. Her trusting worldview leads her to be a bit too trusting during times she doesn't see immediate negative consequences for it (i.e. the loss of her notes, which she defends intensely), and as a result, Cleo tends to volunteer for a lot of favors... She can heal the hurt, soothe some pain in the mind, and is very good at mending cloth, wood, and metal by hand if given a little time. She'll trade a favor for a favor instead of Bells anyway... although it may not be in your best interest to owe her one.

~ HISTORY ~
Formerly a desert princess from Kuro Valley in the Southern Continent, second in line after her brother. Born with Black Magic in her claws, nurtured such talents for two years, then discarded Black Magic for White once she left home. Normally traveled by train, enjoying the sight of land passing quickly by. Cleo originally wanted to spend years traveling and training to hone her White Magic away from her biased homeland, but this proved easier said than done. Many witches notice how familiar she is with witch studies and will question where this knowledge came from, which often results in Cleo admitting her previous decades of training. During her travels, she frequently received flak from other witches about switching schools, so she's gotten better at keeping that information on the down-low.
Cleo wasn't born an iguana and took that disguise after leaving home (along with her name). In a moment of nerves, she also erased Pecan's old form with a Wipeout Potion and the pair are working through some of the trust issues that came with that...
