Description My first deviation for , for their eye-candy of the month competition!

Erik, the Phantom of the Opera.

Set after Christine's exit, hence our poor punjabber's tears and attachment to a mannequin wearing the suspiciously ruined remains of a wedding gown.

(Honestly, the poor girl! The pick of either a gorgeous, semi-psychotic serial killer and an idiot. Talk about rock and a hard place...)

This entire picture was basically inspired by 's lovely piece of stock (and I am delighted to find so much great PotO stock in their gallery!): [link]

Also used the ethereal stock by : [link]

The composition is soooooo good, all kind of interlinked by the music, and I love their expressions! Good job!

Thankyou!! Particularly for the comment on the composition - I'm trying to work on creating more complex compositions, and was definitely wondering at one stage whether I'd overbalanced this to one side. Thanks!

I think you had just enough complexity without overdoing it, it looks awesome!

You do such beautiful work...and the background is so intricate and well-structured, it's what draws me in altogether. The arms are a little short on Phantom, but that's the only flaw I see. Keep up the great work!

Thankyou!!! (Though darn - I was hoping no one would notice those arms XD I'll work on it in future!)

Thanks for pointing out the background, too - I tend towards very plain backgrounds but I'm trying to change that

To finish? Nah! XD Well, it should have taken longer, especially with an illustration assignment on the way... But who cares about that? *whistles innocently*

Thankyou!!

To be fair, I was not inspired to use it for illustration until that very moment...
Buuut I have brilliant ideas like that from time to time

Which one are you trying to get a background for?

lol. That's the way. Quick! Let's find something to hand in!!!

The epiclly huge Ed one . I tried a digital gradient but that didn't really work so I've come up with this random thing with cogs and gears that I'm doing in markers then scanning in . I don't know how well it'll go with the picture but it looks alright on its own so it wasn't a complete waste of time
