I seem to have run mad on studies all of a sudden...Basically decided, hey! I have nearly no males in my gallery!
This thing is, I believe, male.

Yep, I did this entirely in photoshop with my tablet. Used a plain round brush at about 80-90% hardness on pressure sensitivity. The closest thing I have to a tute for this method probably appeared in my fave magazine...
But the basic method was to lay down in mid-dark grey his form, then just keep going over with lighter or darker colours to build up shadows and highlights. Finally, for a few things out of place (eg the arm looked a bit wonky) I made some minor adjustments to form with the liquify tool. It's actually both fun and easy.
