Wow, I really like this. Excellent composition. Most people might be tempted to zoom in too close or try and get the whole plant. This works and I love the colors.

Absolutely beautiful -- you are an incredibly talented photographer! You have a great eye for color and composition, as your flower pictures so eloquently show! *hugs* If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been doing photography what kind of camera do you use?

Wow, thanks for the compliment! That's so nice! To tell you the truth, I like doing flower shots because I can just a) press the super-macro button on my camera and b) shove the camera somewhere in the flower's face. Bingo!

I've been doing photography for as long as anyone's handed me a camera to fiddle with - many pointless shots to testify to that! I think it really started when my dad got a fancy camera, which I then nicked as much as possible. Christmas present this year from parents? Camera! Unnacountable...

So the one I now own is something like this one [link] Not certain if this is the right model, but it's a darn good imitation if it's not!

Wow! That looks like a really nice camera! I have one that's well over 8 years old, so it may be time to trade it in ... hee

I also liked your photographs with your model -- are you planning to go into photography professionally or is it pretty much just a hobby for now?

It works well! I just need to work out lighting issues, because it has a bad tendency to grain some photos Do you do much photography?

Thankyou! I quite like photographing my model too! She's brilliant because she just poses herself - it requires no thought on my part! Photography is a hobby for me, I can't see myself going pro. I prefer digital painting, which is ridiculous because apart from traditional painting, it's probably my worst skill *dies*

*recovers* I'll keep trying though!

Outside of taking pictures of events where I work, I don't do much photography at all. I was always intrigued by photography, though, but I realized that it would take some time and skill to be really good. So, having limited time, I never really pursued it ... *sigh*

Yes, do keep trying the digital art. The best thing is that if you don't like it, you can always hit the DEL key ..

Yeah, something like that. lol *big hugs* I have found that, in digital art (like most creative works), some pieces just can't be salvaged no matter what you do. In that case, the DEL key is your friend
