Description
The new Phantom Mask in my collection.I sculpted a slightly less outright angry expression than my usual Phantom masks and I think that it serves pretty well. Likewise, the nose is a bit different than the standard fare and was modeled after a more pointed, romanesque look.
As always, the mask is made of butcher paper, wallpaper paste, joint compound and white kid leather.
I love this photo, because it feels like a movie still.
Photo by the awesome Aaron Sherkow.

it looks like Johnny Depp in a Phantom mask. Def could be a still in a movie where he would be going to a costume party or something... very well made.

This is wonderful. And I too love the photo! It does look more like a movie still, than just a regular photo, you can feel the movement

I love this mask! It's exactly like I like to imagine the one from Gaston Leroux novel .

Wonderful shot. I like the angrier masks, but this one has a distinctness all its own. I really think the more passive expression suits well.

This is an absolutely gorgeous shot... I really wish you'd had some gels on lights though... it would've made the shot!
Seeing the mask from the front is absolutely stunning. I saw it in the prior photo and was ambivalent about the new mask, but a frontal view defiantly brought it into perspective. It's gorgeous and it's fabulous to see a less vengeful mask, fantastic work, I'm sticking a gold star to my screen

Well, we shot this one in the doorway of a beautiful old church on a misty day so the surroundings were appropriately Phantom.
Thanks for the gold star! Twill be a medal of honor!

Awesome photo composition, and as always, wonderful work. Did you make your cape as well?

Yes. The cape is cashmere wool with a satin lining and a velvet inset collar with a crochet lace overlay.
