Good heavens-I had this on full view and suddenly, BAM! RED DEATH.
Very impressive work of art! It's intricately detailed and vivid-plus the contrast between the white of the skull mask and the red of the costume makes Erik look very intimidating.

And I've never seen that movie, so I have no comment to that.

No specific cover really, I just feel that this interpretation would feel very at home there given that very distinct style. What I'm really getting it is it just doesn't scream 'Erik' enough to me anymore.
