Henricot is one of my favourite artists too - his style is truly amazing, and well-represented in this painting. I particularly like the fine details in the feathers, and the vivid colours of the other animals present.

I'm glad you gave the bird feathers- it would have definitely looked silly with featherless skinless birdie-wings. I do absolutely love this drawing however- not sure if I commented on it before.

This is beautiful. It is strange how just by removing the outermost layer we see of animals, the perception of them changes completely. What was once thought to be a friendly beautiful creature becomes an almost creepy beast.
