No this image was taken yesterday (Dec 12, 2008)it is Endeavour's retun to Kennedy Space Center after the STS-126 mission.

I saw the E in the ship's name and couldn't make out the rest. Now that I look again, I can see it. Besides, Enterprise never had a chance to look 'scorched'.

w/ my mini work camera point and shoot from 10 mile away which makes it look smaller than a postage stamp..... but yes. Then my dad took my son to the base the next day and they went right up to it ( dads clearance and all). very cool for them.

he's a retired col in the air force. he flew KC 135's.
