back in 1924 the nwr lined up all the loaned engines at vicarstown for a photoshoot.
years later in 2015 for 70th anniversary of the railway series all the loaned engines now in there present condition were reunited and lined up again at the same place in there same spot.
the engines are:
Edo, Glasgow And South Western Railway (G&SWR) 381 class #384 designed by James Manson built in 1903 by the North British Locomotive Company. Whyte 4-6-0
Afton, London And North Western Railway (LNWR) Claughton class originally #69 later #5960 designed by Charles Bowen Cooke built in 1920 at Crewe Works. Whyte 4-6-0
Molly, Great Eastern Railway (GER) L47 a subclass below the S46 "Claud Hamilton" #1891 later D15 #8891 designed by James Holden and A. J. Hill built in 1900 at Stratford Works. Whyte 4-4-0
Crovan, Great Central Railway (GCR) class 8F #1097 later B4 #6097 designed by John G. Robinson built in 1906 by Beyer, Peacock and Company. Whyte 4-6-0
Max, North Eastern Railway (NER) class S3 #914 designed by Vincent Raven built in 1920 by Darlington Works. Whyte 4-6-0
