Salina lay on the couch, holding herself tightly, shivering. When a knock behind her woke her.

"We have blankets under the shelf," Diana's voice said. Salina quickly turned around to see Diana leaning against the shelf.

"Huh," Salina replied, confused.

"Well, the cold front from the outside often seeps through the glass of the window you see," Diana said motioning to the sliding door. "It can make this room very cold. I speak from experience, can't tell you how many times that I have fallen asleep on this same couch, only to freeze my ass off. So we usually keep a couple extra blankets in the cabinet under the shelf beside you there."

"W-What are you? Why are you doing this?" Salina asked, even more confused now.

"Listen," Diana said resting a hand on Salina's head. "About earlier, I don't know anything about you. You're a stranger in my home, but I know that you need help. I may not know where you came from. Hell, you could've actually been a horrible person for all we know. All I know is that what happened to you and how you ended up is a horrible, horrible thing. No one, and I mean no one should just be thrown away to be forgotten like that."

"I...," Salina started to say. "Thank you, Diana."

"Have a good night, Salina," Diana replied, then as she turned away added. "We will help you get through this."
