A crash echoed through the building.

"What was that?" Jena exclaimed.

"That was a window," Scarlet replied. "They must have found another way in."

"Scarlet," Amber's voice called out, causing them to stop. Scarlet turned to Jena and put a finger to her lips as she crept forward.

"Oh, Scarlet," Amber called again. "Why do you run from fate? Don't tell me you don't feel it. There is a power at works far greater than a mere coincidence that we were to meet again."

"I'm not falling for it, Amber," Scarlet called out. "You're just trying to distract me so you can kidnap Jena again."

"Haven't you learned by now that I don't care about that little brat," Amber shouted. "Or any of your pesky little friends. It was never my idea in the first place to go after Jena or Raven. If I had it my why, Raven may have never been touched."

"Then why did you kidnap Jena?" Scarlet growled.

"Bait," Amber replied. "I knew you would come if took one of your little friends. You're so predictable. Did you really think I was that stupid? You are the one I want."

"OK, I get it," Scarlet said. "You have been as obsessed with me as I have been with you."

"Oh no, Scarlet," Amber replied. "I have been waiting for this moment, for sixty years."

"I have made many enemies over the past sixty years," Scarlet replied. "and I don't recall meeting you."

"Really, Scarlet," Amber said, sounding disappointed. "You don't remember?"

"Remember what?" Scarlet asked.

"Is makeup and hair dye all it takes for you to forget your own kin!" Amber demanded. Scarlet's eyes widened for a moment.

"T-That's not possible," Scarlet replied. "My tribe is dead."
