Description
More from the Azula versus Suki seriesEver since ~little-match-girl started making her Suki outfit, we've been dying to get photos of her fighting against ~chrysocome 's Azula. We've never really had a chance to do it (I've had to cosplay Toph instead) until recently at Melbourne Armageddon last month.
Even though the characters most central to the overall story in AtLA are male (Aang and Zuko, imho), the show is dominated by strong female characters (in all senses of the word). Here is our tribute to arguably (and feel free to do so, in the comments) the coolest and most badass girls of the show.
There are more photos to come. I had a lot of fun finally getting these shots (and enduring the random comments/staring from businesspeople walking down the street, stopping to watch us get into some rather awkward positions and having to hold them for extended periods). Extra props to ~ubercaledor for taking the photos, and super extra hugs to ~little-match-girl for getting into the outfit even though it took longer for her to get into it than the actual time spent at the convention. Thanks so much to both of you. I'm so glad we finally got these photos and I'm very happy with them.

Thanks! ~ubercaledor 's work. As mentioned above, I love how Azula dominates the picture in terms of space, yet the lines in the photo keep pulling your eyes back to Suki's face.

Splendid! I love the little wisps of hair straying off of Azula's coiffure. Very authentic. And Suki's pose is excellent. This really looks like it could have come from the show.

Thanks! It's actually extremely hard to get those hairs to stay IN. I'm glad you like it!
Well, Azula had to get Suki's outfit somehow, you know?

Well.. I have to say I don't really like Avatar, but I love your Cosplay!
It's a nice shot! (: Maybe a bit more editing would have been good, but it's okay like that, too (;
Keep up!

Thanks so much hun, really appreciate it <3
What can you suggest for more editing? Colours or lighting or background or something else...?

You're welcome! (:
Well, I think there should be more contrast. The thing that I don't like is, that the background is full of colours which's stealing the foreground the show, you know?

I think I understand, you mean the grass?
Unfortunately not much more i can do there, it's a lot to do with the location. It was raining so we had to be under cover, yet the sun was settting so everything was backlit (facing the other way was the convention centre). As a result if I try to add more colour to the foreground it gets grainy, and if i take colours away the back looks very grey and extremely urban, very fake. As it is, you can probably tell how the light has been adjusted to light up the foreground. I'm quite happy with it, but eac to their own of course
We will bear it in mind for next time, thanks for your input

Thanks hun <3 That's ~ubercaledor working his magic. I love how Azula dominates the picture in terms of space, yet the lines in the photo keep pulling your eyes back to Suki's face. So much love for it.
