Miststep is an impatient dame who always expects things to get done faster than they should. Since she is so impatient, she can also be extremely racy, speaking very quickly and with an exuberance that can be kind of surprising if you aren't ready for it. She seems to always be rushing from place to place, excitable and ready to work. Miststep can also be kind of oblivious, and will sometimes completely miss the point that someone is trying to make. Miststep also leans towards being really cheerful and optimistic constantly seeing the best in every situation and looking for the best possible outcomes. The she-cat is also exceedingly friendly and enjoys greeting everyone she passes by their name. However, this also means that she can be slightly unguarded because she seems to believe that everyone else is inherently good and trustworthy.

Miststep grew up in TidalClan with her parents, Stormpelt and Silvercloud. She spent her life before the Calamity being a normal, almost boring, clan member. She may have been slightly overzealous, but there really wasn't much to it. Her mentor treated her normally and they became friends when she became a warrior, although it was extremely formal until that point. Her life was comfortable enough. She was a fine warrior, not the best but definitely hardworking.

Miststep ran into Reaper pretty early on when out in the Calamity. He was already hurt when she found her, although she didn't know why. She assumed it was an Ashen, and later told Aurora something similar when she met him (after attacking him in a panic, of course). It wasn't until later that she realized that it was likely not actually an Ashen that had caused the twist in Reaper's paw. She lives a normal life in Haven, and continues to look for the best case scenario in everything.
