I've gotten recently completely obsessed with Frankenstein, it's sad! (It probably would have been more convenient for me to obsess over him when I was actually playing opposite his character in RP, but whatevs. 8| )German-speaking! Mountain-climbing! Grave-robbing! .....adorable rich boy. :3 In the current Jekyll and Hyde universe I have set up, Jekyll and Frankenstein have this weird history and a lot of unresolved tension, the odd result of this being that Frankenstein is the one person in the world that Hyde is more likely to nuzzle against than stab.
I am fully convinced that the simplified creature in the background saves the composition.....

Oh my god, this is so cute. I'm a bit late, but it's really great to see new work from you; whenever I see your art in my inbox I get really excited.
...Mainly because I'm a lit nerd, and I love-love-LOVE your interpretations of all these characters; mostly how they don't fit ANY of the stereotypes surrounding them.
Seriously. :\ I drew a picture of your Hyde in my sketchbook, and about three people came up and asked me why he didn't have a hunchback. A hunchback. Really now?
But I digress; it's really nice to see Hyde with a less sinister emotion (much as I love sinister!Hyde)--kind of refreshing. Also, it's completely adorable to see the kill-kill-everyone character this...I don't know, interested, I guess, in someone else's business. And your textures are gorgeous as always. *favorites* Needless to say, this is awesome.

A hunchback, really?? XD I guess if people are more familiar with the Hulk-Hyde version seen in, say, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. But it's funny how Hollywood versions of characters get created. I noticed that when we were assigned Jekyll and Hyde to draw in character design class, the only people who did the assignment used a hunchbacked Hyde. Odd.
I think I mentioned somewhere that Hyde will stop being openly sinister for only very few people, and one of them is Frankenstein. :3 This is partially because Frankenstein will play along with Hyde's idea of 'fun', which is how they end up breaking into a bookstore and a slaughterhouse in the middle of the night, this one time.

My friend, ~pichubros101 (the one who drew that adorable Hyde chibi back in October) and I were discussing that in school; and....Oh goodness. Mental scarring. We were comparing your version of Hyde versus the LXG version, and how hulk-like it was, and then...Out of boredom, we decided to merge both versions. Let's just say, your Hyde does not look good with muscles. AT ALL. I was the one who DREW it in the first place, and it scared me-!

Hyde is..... never a normal person. XD Hyde is happy here, but.... happy like a really delirious person.
He likes to hang around Frankenstein because he cuts up dead bodies.... and Jekyll really idolizes him as a mentor/father figure, to the extent that even his darker side can't quite manage to hate him.
