Description
This isn't vector, guys. The idea is a mix of Athenian and Shakespearean costume.
So uhh. Quick runthrough, I did Hermia first and forgot to do the Greek thing basically until the very end. I didn't go into much detail of the flowiness of her dress, so it looks very generic. Basically I was geeky about the unrealistic sleeve/ribbons and gave up after that. Helena looks like a thirteen-year-old angsty wiccan/pagan/tree teenager from the costume store, but she's supposed to be whiny in this scene, so it's okay. The only problem is that her clothes completely clash with everyone else's, and probably came from about 100 years earlier, except for the sash which I like. D: Her corset makes no sense k.
Lysander looks like a little kid, which is okay. I still think I got the time period for the guys' pants wrong. Anyway for these fellows I basically took Renaissance garb and tossed a toga-ish cape over one shoulder. Then I tweaked the flow of the fabric so it flowed into it better.
As for the actual play, I got 25/25 for the acting part. 0_o I think it was out of pity, since I was doing such a hard job at overacting during the GIANT gaps when I had no lines (I was Demetrius). Plus I lost my original sword, so I was Demetrius, the Last Samurai with a Plastic Katana (granted, our original swords weren't exactly spot-on either, so I was facing off against Lysander the 18th Century Pirate).
(P.S. The larger side of Demetrius's cape clings semi-perfectly to his chest, utterly devoid of any reason for staying that way. IT'S AMAZING.)

This is so cool! Alexis (Thalia) and I did a scene from this play for our Theatre Arts II final. She was Hermia and I was Helena. I think we did the same scene you did (it's in Act III, the one where the two girls have a major catfight), but we edited out the boys because it was only a partner project, and they don't have that many lines anyway. I actually had to cut down a couple of my monstrous monologues. We got an A.
But I love these costumes! Hermia's corset and Demetrius's pants, especially. lol but the right side of his cape IS amazing oh the joys of magickal physics!
