Description
"Consent to sex is NOT consent to pregnancy!"When two (or more
If consent to sex is consent to pregnancy, you might as well throw out all treatment for STIs and STDs. Because: "Oh! Well they shouldn't of had sex in the first place if they didn't want to get and STD! Serves them right!"
Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy ESPECIALLY if the two were using protection. We are no longer living in the 1950s, where if a woman got pregnant she had to get married and produce as many babies as possible. We have safe and accessible options, like abortion and adoption. We have birth control, that has a near 100% non-failure rate if used correctly.
If consent to sex is consent to pregnancy, can't a woman or a man say no during intercourse? Of course not! Consent to sex can be withdrawn.
And even if it were consent to pregnancy, there's still horrific things like rape. Where the woman didn't consent to sex at all, no matter what she was wearing/drinking/doing
If sex was only for procreation, what about all of the infertile couples? Elderly people? Homosexual people? Can't they enjoy the pleasure of sex?
The purpose of sex, even in a 'sacrament of marriage' context, is not ONLY to reproduce. It's about intimacy and closeness and expressing love. So you can do all that, and consent to all that, without it involving procreation.
Here's a fact for you all: if it were only for procreation, the female orgasm would be completely unnecessary.

The female orgasm is responsible for creating a sort of βsuctionβ of sperm into the womb. When a woman cums, she experiences multiple contractions as if she is milking her partner. SoΒ no,the female orgasm does play a role in procreation. Though be it a minor one. Itβs not 100% needed for pregnancy but it does help the odds. And secondly,it feels fucking good. Why would women have sex if it had absolutely no benefit for them? Β Simple,we wouldnβt do it. Orgasms are a reward. For both women and men.Β

Lots of people have sex for pleasure. Not everyone that has sex wants to get pregnant!

Unless you're using some form of birth control; you accept the risk of becoming pregnant. Until modern medical procedures the only way to have children was to have sex.Β

Yeah but you CHOSE to have sex and if it was unprotected sex YOU are at fault. If you don't want kids don't have sex.

You are wrong.
Pregnancy is a possibility of sex. Therefore pregnancy comes with sex, and is more or less a consent.
I, however, don't really understand the point you are making. You cannot exactly stop pregnancy from happening, can you? It only takes a few seconds or so to become pregnant, and nothing can be done to stop it. You can withdraw from the sexual activity, but that will not stop the pregnancy from happening.
Also, the purpose of sex is reproduction. That's a fact. Of course it can be used how you want without exception, but that does not change the basic facts. Of course, animals engage in sexual activity, though most don't do it for any other reason than pregnancy. Of course, animals have nothing to do with people, but the acts of sex still remain the same. And yes, anyone can enjoy the pleasure of sex. Of course, you are missing the basic facts again. Sex is for reproduction. That does not mean that two people of the same sex cannot have sex, but rather it just means there won't be any pregnancy for obvious reasons. You could argue that nature never intended for any type of sex other than hetrosexual sex seeing as only hetrosexual sex can result in pregnancies.
Sounds to me as if you cannot accept facts or take responsibility for your actions.
If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex. It isn't difficult to understand, is it? It's not like your rights are being violated or anything.
Also, the woman is the one getting pregnant, therefore it's the woman's resposibility to take precautions to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Your body after all.
Simple stuff, right?

That last bit on the female orgasm was awesome. Small wonder (some) males think otherwise, as through their experience, they think it's a myth.

People who say pregnancy is a consent to sex don't know what the word means. They're confusing consequence with the word.

Don't forget that some men can be absolute bastards and fake using protection. Personally never had it happen to me, but I have seen cases of other women who had that happen...

If you know the potential consequences to having sex, you probably shouldn't be having sex, or take better precautions.
Same way if you were to eat nothing but cake everyday for every meal, maybe you should eat real food if you don't want to get fat.

The difference is that you can't get overweight from one round of it and you can take contraception to prevent pregnancy... And that contraception can still fail. Not to mention you can get pregnant without concent, such as being drunk.

That's a ridiculous argument, you're claiming there are people that have illegal abortions that wouldn't abort if it were legal. And I'm aware that you weren't talking to me, but you were talking to somebody that agreed with me about how "consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy" isn't a valid argument.
