This piece is amazing!!
Poses like this sometimes are so hard to do especially when you are trying to put the right amount of movement in it. But you did an amazing jog of having the creature's head turning. And giving the body a lean with the turn only help us with wanting to look in the direction it's looking at to see what else is going on.
Could it be another snack? Could some type of twig snapped and it gets up to investigate? Could it even be another creature that wants in on the meal?
Tons of questions run through the head and it's fun to guess.

Exactly. I was thinking about that issue lately. To create a piece that makes the spectator to wonder several possibilities about what is going on.
I think you, as an artist, has to pursuit that all the time. YOu should tell a story, but not the whole story. Let the viewer participate with you to compose the scene.
I spent a very long time trying to create that movement on that figure. Thank you very much for complimenting that.

The long arm was an artistic decision (besides, I had to change the creature from a human-like shape to a more bizarre one to avoid breaking contest rules).
Yeah, that blood was a later decision but I'm really happy I did it.
