seems like you're using easytoon to do this stuff, have you tried doing it traditionally?

yeah, i did a few traditional animations for contests when i was in highschool. Honestly i want to work in flash and other digital programs that will allow me to have a more "finished" look
easytoon is just perfect for quick animation, pencil tests, and practice : )

Things like toonboom, flash and 2D digital programs won't give you the finish you're looking for, what you'll want to do, is blow up the stills in photoshop to animation size paper, I forget its size, and you redo the line art on there, this would be digitals equivalent to "clean up" oppossed classical animation I suppose.
Assembling the animation with the background can be done with multiple programs, you can even do it on things like sony vegas, animation standard would be to use a program called opus. Its quite complicated but then again its utility cap is a lot higher.
If you want to do animation to a good standard there are very few shortcuts you can take unfortunatly. Good luck anywho : )

sorry for the late reply- I use a program called Easytoon
it's perfect for pencil tests and all kinds of animation practice- and it takes up virtually no space. A must have for any aspiring animator : )

YOU KNOW I LOVE YOUR SHIZZ
One thing I wanna say though: while the fast movement is really awesome for fighting scenes, you should consider putting some holds on some frames to make it more dramatic- not too much though, just a little bit, since sometimes it looks a little too fast and doesn't make the fighting scene as intense as it could be.
For instance, when Chan blocks Lani's kick, I liked the slow motion there, but perhaps hold parts like that for a tiny bit longer just to emphasize the impact of that kick.

LOL and i finally get to page 3.. or 4
Yeah you're right- that's totally animation 101 * slaps forehead * this one is a bit older, but i don't think i paid attention to making sure the audience could get a good view of the characters- nor did i focus on the dramatic aspect you mentioned.
XD good eye fellow animator < 3

Wow... you sure you did THIS in Easytoon? This is better then what I've seen out of some people with Flash Pro. How did you do the fade effect on Chan a few seconds in (if you don't remember it's cool lol)?
