Legacy Special cards legal in OP3:
If old school 3-stat Cable 's Fighting and Strength were switched, he would've been perfectly acceptable. But when IQ came along, they went a little too crazy with him, maxing out his Power Grid at 23 points with two 7 stats. Owing to his massive '90s popularity, I'm sure. After considerable thought, I've settled on a 1 point drop in Energy, mostly due to his classic depiction's struggle to keep the techno-organic virus consuming him at bay through the use of his powers. A 6 is more than adequate to represent his high-tech arsenal and whatever portion of his powers he's still able to use. The 7 Fighting stays. If veteran soldiers like Frank Castle and Nick Fury rate a 7, so does Cable.
EDIT: Artwork update, since something always bugged me about the composition of the previous piece (the way Cable's arm extended into the Fighting icon).

Cable's energy-manipulation powers always seems to vary, from having suppressed or burnt-out psi-powers to being able to take on SILVER SURFER, sinceh e's almost genetically identical to Nate Grey. 6E, 7E... who can say? Only 8E with a special or something, definitely. Then he's shown to have enhanced strength a lot of the time, and he's been shown to be able to take on 8F characters like Captain America and Wolverine. Is he 7F, 8F... oh forget it. Cable just a hard character to pin down a grid for, period. Putting his Intellect at 5 seems the only sure bet about this guy.

Also, another question... When it comes to characters who've fought off 8F folks, what about Big Barda? She's fought Wonder Woman to a standstill, so should she get 8F considering that and her backstory? Plus, what Energy stat should she get from her Mega-Rod?

Yes, I had planned to give Barda 8F, since she's the greatest warrior of Apokolips. Her Mega-Rod would be best represented as a Special, some sort of Multi attack probably. I don't see her having more than a 5 Energy. Her main focus is Fighting, then Strength.
