Thank you! I have to say the design grew on me over time, but I'm generally a TNG+ person if I'm honest.

im in love with the enterprise e
every time i see the kelvin i think why did they build it upside down? it took me forever to figure out the bottom is the warp engine

I think the most beautiful ship design, the most majestic for sure, is the Galaxy-class. Nothing - for me - has beaten that yet in terms of elegance. But it would be boring if everyone loved the same look!

Hehe, well, in the TNG episode "Relics", Scotty is in the holodeck on the bridge of the 1701 and says the following to Picard:
"There comes a time when a man can't fall in love again. He knows it's time to stop. I don't belong on your ship. I belong here. This was my home. This was where I had a purpose..."
And I suppose that's what it is. Once you grow up around a certain show you enjoy that most. I said that after I watched the latest Star Trek movie. While I liked it in general, I can now understand how all the TOS fans felt when TNG was first aired.
