Description
This is a workflow rundown of an animation (one of two) I am currently working of. I will post a WIP of one of the animations, too, shortly. (Usually I don't post WIPs, but in this case it's only to 50% done and it shows what I've described in this document). It's not a tutorial as such, because it does not explain in detail all the functions, buttons and features used to create this, but it elaborates on the steps taken. Feel free to ask questions though.
I will post a tutorial on the alternative starfield method soon, however, because that's an excellent, low-resource way to create a non-static starfield.

That's OK, no problem. I'll see what I can do (regarding your previous comment). And thanks.

I would try to blur the bussard domes a bit... so the bussard collectors aren't so noticeable... I personally ignore them in Max, and just apply a composite material of different effects to achieve the effect I have...
Very nice demonstration of your workflow, it's a pity Lightwave doesn't have a starfield ability like Max...

Well, I've been going over the textures a few times, I'll see how it goes. I don't mind seeing details like that, because the bussard collectors are actually comprised of two sections. Thank you for the input, though.
