see the fun thing about uploading these is as soon as i hit the submission page i instantly forget everything. how i usually format these posts, what i was thinking about when i was drawing/designing these guys. it's just gone and i have to squeeze my brain like an empty tube of toothpaste. going back to all my old posts my notes app hell even the original sketches for some clues as to the mind of the madman who created these beasts

1) KittyIsAWolf : B2: Applejack x Discord

All the commissioner wanted from this one was a guy who leaned more into their draconequus side and I...kinda did that I hope. They still turned out pretty horse-y, but Applejack is the horsie-est horse in MLP so I think it tracks. Leaned into a scarecrow/autumn vibe, with AJ's hair and the back legs of a crow. I imagine looking out at him working at the farm and thinking oh that's just a normal horse, and then he turns around and he's definitely not. When I sent the mockup to the commissioner they asked I add any kind of horn and I think that addition MAKES this design. That and his little red scarf...

2) Silver-OPs B3: Rainbow Dash x Discord

Commissioner requested a nextgen without wings, and of course I love a good wingless Rainbow Dash kid. They also asked for a cloud theme and I pretty much went with that. It wasn't intentional but the markings on this guy remind me of a dutch rabbit. I'm especially proud of the cutie mark on this one, the original idea was an electric storm cloud sheep (electric sheep haha) but I couldn't get lighting bolt legs to work. But the raindrop legs? That's cute. I lost my dumb nerd pun but sometimes you gotta take that loss. I imagine his mane is buzzing with static energy which is why it's so poofy.

3) Tiger-Lylli D2: Cadence x Applejack
The commissioner had some great ideas for this one!! An earth tone alicorn with a clydesdale/irish cob body type, with the same kinda vibes as Hestia, the greek goddess of the hearth, bringing that Grecian feel Cadence and all the crystal ponies have into the design. Which was super fun because: I GOT TO WATCH HERCULES WITH MY GIRLFRIEND WHILE I SKETCHED THIS GIRL!! They also requested some sorta crown/neck thing for her, so I came up with something incorporating Applejack's element with some gilded leaf thing. I guess Applejack passed her element down to her huge beautiful daughter, what a good mom. But yeah this one was super fun to do, the commissioner came up with a lot of the ideas and all I had to do was bring it to life.

4) malphym Twilight x Sunburst

Whaaaa this wasn't on the grid!! You're right!! It sure wasn't, this was an independent commission I'm just shoving in here. Something like this is between 35-50 dollars depending on what you want. I should really come up with more concrete prices and put this on a special commission sheet of ~special things~ (along with cutie mark commissions I haven't forgotten those) since custom designs have already been requested twice!! I probably should have anticipated that.
But anyway, the design. This girl definitely takes after Twilight a lot in appearance, though I hope the warm colors in her mane and her socks/blaze assure Sunburst this is in fact his kid. I like to imagine this gal's talent relates to raising magical flowers. I also had the idea she has tiny underdeveloped wings she's a little embarrassed of and wears a cloak to cover. Or maybe she wears the cloak to hide the fact she's an alicorn, lest she be mobbed by adoring pony fans.

there's one more slot (Starlight x Cadence) left on the grid but I'm hoping to open another ship grid soon (along with another scent grid I haven't forgotten that either) but if no one buys it within the next week or so I'll probably turn it into a adopt for auction just to finish the grid out lol
