Such an amazing painting with the Hispano fighting to Escape what looks to be three Spitfire Mk.V's with their two 20mm cannons and four .303's. It looks like the German aircraft is trying to bring the Spitfires closer the ground where it's lower speeds don't matter as much when you can maneuver through the trees (the Hispano being a Reconnaissance-Fighter if I'm not correct)
I love this painting, It shows you have a passion for aircraft!
I apologize if I'm inncorrect about The Hispano

This is great-but why did you paint a hispano and not an original Me-109?

... sorry about the critique, but I couldn't but note a critical flaw in the drawing: the Bf109 actually isn't a Bf109, but a Hispano HA-1112-M1L series 'Buchon'.

The 'Buchon' was in fact a Spanish-built version of the old '109G, but used a Rolls-Royce Merlin 500-45 instead of the Daimler-Benz DB 605. Because of the different engine installation, the Spanish 109 has a totally different look to the German 109. (And it's got a four-bladed propellor, something which the German 109's never had!) Probably most remarkable about the Buchon is, that their production ran from 1954 to 1958, and they were in service with the Spanish air force as late as 1967...

Also - as I'm in a nit-picky mood, sorry about that - the Spitfire (a Mark 9) has the correct C-type markings (which were introduced from 1942), while the Hurricane (a Mk 1, which wasn't used after 1941) sports A1-type markings, which were replaced by the C1-type markings in 1942, the old brown/green camouflage (which was replaced by the grey/green day-fighter camouflage from 1941 on) ... and even more confusingly, has its fin-flash on the rudder, which was only ever done on the Hurricanes of 73 squadron during the Battle of France (1940)

i had another idea of BF-109 WWII airplane, but i just search around google and there is a BF-109 that looks like that >_<
that caught me by surprise cause i always thought BF-109 Messerchmits were like this -> [link]

But i was wrong, so.... exelent work xP

Very well done! Since I'm not good at that I won't comment on the painting itself

Since you have advanced critique encouraged on, I'll post this here...: Although the painting itself is, like I said, awesome it's a real pity you used a picture of a Casa Buchon as a reference; these were Spanish built 109s and also used in the famous Battle of Britain movie. Ironically, these had the same Rolls-Royce Merlin as the Spitfire and Hurricane had back then.

A German Bf 109E model, as used in 1940-1941, would have had an Daimler Benz engine and a nose that looks like this:
[link]

The one in your other Spitfire-109 painting being forced to land looks awsome!
Maybe it's just nitpicking from a guy with interest in WWI/II avation, but I'd post it anyway.

Well yea I did get the idea to paint this from the movie battle of Brittan, odd plane and all. Thanks for the crit! I appreciate the time to make a full comment rather than "thats cool" or what not, its rather refreshing.

You're welcome!

I'm interested in WWI/II aviation so hence my comment. I'm much worse as an artist so I usually refrain from commenting on the artistic interpretation-part. Too little time avaible for me to get better I guess...

Keep it up, I'm watching!

i really like the clouds and the lighting on the front plane. The way its shaded, it looks like aluminum should.

but i agree with the person who said the field looks dull. It's just empty and smudged. The other areas of the painting have a lot of texture, but it looks like you decided you were sick of the field. ^_~ Just a little grass-texture would make it look way cooler.

This painting was reffed with spitfire pictures of mine, but that is of no consequence. Your comment is in violation of etiquette policy, I'd suggest you change your tone if you want to remain on this site. This is the least helpful and most disgusting comment I have heard in a long time, don't bother coming back.. there is only so much ignorance I can withstand.

Straight to favorites!
Amazing brushwork. The atmosphere is something very cool. Colors of the clouds, detailed planes... All seems to work well.
Totally speechless.
Love the way that village comes out from the dark.

Well the water is slighly bit off from the rest painting but not so bad.

I would give five stars out of five for this.

->Going to see rest of your gallery.

again a very nice painting from you, great choice of colours. but there is one thing I don't like .. your planes are pretty detailed, whereas the landscape and clouds have a very rough style. nothing against that style, but if you choose it I think you should use it in the complete picture.
and the image has not the depth it is supposed to have, maybe because your forground and background grass colours is very similar, the village looks kinda lonely there.
yet, it is a very dynamic piece with a great composition.

btw; wasn't there a jeep?
