It was late at night and the horses of the Avanti herd were fast asleep. Except for one restless mare. Sinta was wide awake. She got up and started walking away from the horses. Like every night she found herself going to the exact same place. It was a little pond surrounded by some trees and bushes. She stopped just before the pond and looked at her sad reflection. Looking at the cause of her being bullied. "Why won't you grow?" she asked her, now angry, reflection. There was only silence in reply. Tears started streaming from her eyes. A soft sobbing was heard and Sinta shook her head slowly. Her tears dripped from her face and fell into the water, making small ripples as they fell. She lowered her head and let her short mane drift in the pond. She could stand like that for hours, she had done so for many nights now. Suddenly her sadness made place for a sensation of anger. Why should her mane have to grow in order to be treated normally? Why couldn't the other horses just accept her as she was? She stamped her hoove on the ground and raised her head. Why should she stay in a herd like this if she wasn't even happy. From that moment she decided to just stay away from the herd and only come back to sleep. There wouldn't be anyone missing her anyway.

It's my little mare Sinta. The other horses bully her because her mane are short. They say she looks like a boy and might aswell just be one. Here she is sad and angry looking at ehr short maned reflection.
