Description
First off much thanks to Moonbeam 13 for the Daily Deviation!
This is my adaptation of an addition to the Earth Alliance fleet from Babylon 5.The Delta Class Advanced Tactical Heavy Cruiser called the “Icarus”. Modeled in Sketch up then rendered in Cinema4D. I can see the point, but not quite: Too clean, but not clean enough to be any of the things in 40k which are actually clean.

That is a possibility. It doesn't look like an STC design, but it could be that most variation from the era was lost.

That is a good point. As said, I don't think this looks particularly like an STC design, but then again the concept of STC is to provide the most economic engineering solution for a particular set of circumstances. There aren't any surviving STC ships as far as I know, so perhaps they looked aesthetically very different from the ground vehicles? If so this could be a good likeness.
