Out of the hundreds of species of Scarabaeids that exist in Atlantis, here are 3 select few:Lithomimitator marmoratus is a species of rock mimic Scarab that lived in rocky, mountainous and sandy areas. It's a omnivorous insect, his diet consists on plant matter, carrion, among other small pieces of food. The scientific name mean "Marble rock mimic"
Titanoheracles rufus is a species of forest dwelling insect, they can be found under dead logs, inside trees, underground or just camouflaging on the forest floor. Males are highly competitive and will fight for personal space and females. They will eat anything they can find, being it plant matter, carrion, or even other smaller insects, but they have a preference towards meat. The scientific name of this insect means "Giant redish-brown Heracles".
Durosoma impenetrabilis is a species round, hard bodied insect native to the subtropical forest of Atlantis, it passes it's days scavanging meat inside dead animals, and when threatened, it can compress itself into a impenetrable ball. His hard and durable exoskeleton makes difficult to any predator to chew on him. His scientific name means "Impenetrable hard body".
