I am SO inspired by his picture, as this Great Dane is absolutely GORGEOUS, so I felt inspired to try my hand at doing a more realistic piece of Pet Portraiture. Let me know what you think, and make sure you visit the original photo to comment, because without such a photo, I would have never drawn mine.
Done with Prisma Pencils on 8.5" x 11" Black Cardstock
I did notice when compairing the two images the eye in my drawing is bigger and so is the ear, but it was a nice learning experience to teach me what I am capable of...I still like it!

I love this one, actually love it better then the photo because it has character, he looks a bit snobbish and royal lol like he's better then everyone else. Anyways, he's great, love the color tones!

Thank you! I enjoy the photo too, I like your description of how it makes you feel, since Dane's are such a Royal type of hound with such historical histories linked to monarchies. I love it too, thank you for your comments!
