II. BackgroundHistory:
[ BEFORE THE SPECIAL DIVISION ]
Victor was born and raised living in a rich white neighborhood in Orange County, California. Despite living in such an environment, his parents made him visit Little Saigon with them throughout most of his childhood, not letting him forget his roots. He grew up a happy and energetic child - naive and unaware of the world around him. He thought the world revolved around him - bright and intelligent, it seemed as if there was no stopping him. He was smart - and he knew it. Throughout elementary school he had the highest grades in the class - and slowly stopped caring about studying. He found video games and other nerdy things more worthy of his time. He already had high enough grades - so why bother with studying? He cried when he didn’t get things his way - and there was no one to tell him what was wrong with expecting the world to bend to your command. He was a rather nerdy child - though he was awkward and quirky, he didn’t notice that he didn’t have many friends.
Once middle school came, he started realizing just how blind he had been to the world. No longer was he the smartest kid in school - and starting in 7th grade, he started falling into depression. Luckily, he had made a small group of friends that managed to keep him sane.
High school came, and he decided to join the school band. He made most of his friends there - and met the most important person in his life. His girlfriend was a part of the band - and their relationship at first was purely platonic friendship. It soon blossomed into romance - and though Nguyen struggled with his grades and depression, her support helped him get through high school. He never really pushed himself, and though he graduated with barely any honors, he had managed to get into his top choice university - The University of California, Irvine with a major in Human Biology.
His undergrad experience wasn’t much for him. He spent most of it a shut-in in his apartment - being away from his friends in high school made him develop serious social anxiety. He didn’t join many clubs or make a lot of friends - just doing the bare minimum to get his degree. Most of his time was spent doing nothing or playing video games instead of studying. His M-CAT score was good, however, his resume didn’t leave any room for impression.
He spent a break year after graduation traveling around Asia with his girlfriend - starting with half a year working in a restaurant in Japan, a few summer weeks in Shanghai for leisure, and the rest of his time in Asia helping manage his wealthy aunt’s luxury resort in Vietnam.
The two returned to America because Victor wanted to get his medical career back on track. While he was rejected from most medical schools he applied to due to his poor resume, to his surprise, he received an offer for a scholarship from the medical school at the Northshore Commandos. What better way was there to boost his resume than with the military?
The first 3 years of Commandos were hell for him. Not much changed for this antisocial man - however, he’s surprisingly managed to make a few more friends than he had in undergrad. However, none of that compares to what he’s had to endure so far in the Special Division. He only wants to get his degree and get out so he can finally marry his girlfriend and live a long and happy life together.
Too bad it seems like he’s not getting out anytime soon.
[ ARC 1: HELL WEEK ]
Running away from a bear was one thing, but no one expected the BOA to be at Sector Bravo.
Seeing a woman that looked just like Kylee killed before his eyes at the BOA base wasn't pleasing to him, but he's a tough man. He's seen death before. It's sad, but that's life. As a man in the medical field, you have to prepared for these things.
A 5 month old baby was found, the mother being the woman in the woods. They named her Ava - and he along with Milo Beckett have been taking care of her and watching over her development while investigating the mysterious Project Wyrm. She seems to be a perfectly healthy young girl - and he can't help but to dote over this little ray of sunshine in his hellish life.
Family day was a rather important date for him.
He finally got the chance to propose to the love of his life.
She said yes.

Upon first impression, he gives off an air of intimidation. Does not hesitate to take action. He is prone to anger management issues and lashes out easily if he’s tipped over the edge. He secretly enjoys parties and other social situations if he’s with friends, but he always tries to make excuses to be by himself. However, being by himself in large public crowds gives him social anxiety - he always feels like someone is judging him for his mere existence.
Underneath his grumpy exterior is a big, soft caring teddy bear who only wants the best for the people who mean the most to him. He hates intentionally hurting anyone, and his fatherly instincts always kick in whenever he senses a tense atmosphere. If you manage to break his tough exterior, he’s a genuinely sweet guy who has a sense of humor.

His biggest struggle with the Special Division is dealing with the fact that he can’t be with her - or even talk to her. These pillows are the only thing keeping him sane at night.
- Has a stupid sock collection, mainly full of socks his girlfriend’s bought him.
- His hair color is black - but appears to have a brown tone in the light. His eyes are brown with a blue ring around the pupil.
- Hardcore otaku. You wouldn’t know it unless you talked to him, however.
- Drives a Mercedez-Benz convertible and his glasses are Dior
- Owns a pair of lucky Sriracha boxers
- Has an insanely high alcohol tolerance. Much prefers to drink than smoke. His lungs are weak he can’t handle the nicotine
- Prefers walking around barefoot but has taken to wearing slippers around the dorms because those floors are nasty as the boys living in them.
- Has a small scar underneath his right eye. His mom dropped a garden hose head on his face when he was swimming as a child in the pool. An unfortunate accident.
- Was a Diamond 5 Rank league player before having his internet cut off. Since then he's found more interesting things to do with his life than play video games.
- Keeps a bunch of journals and writes in them every so often- especially when something interesting happens to him. Likes to read back on them from time to time.
- Was rather overweight before joining Commandos. However, ever since joining, he’s tried to make the effort to go out to the gym for his own health. He likes lifting weights a lot more than he likes running.
- Wears both glasses and contacts. He wears contacts during sports, at the gym, or participating active activity, like the obstacle course.
