Mutation 1: Lycanthropy
Also known as Werewolf-Physiology or Wolf Shapshifting, Viola's mutation gives her the ability to shape shift into a large black wolf, the only two abnormalities that differ her form from a regular wolf being the white tipped ears and the bright orange eyes. She is able to retain whatever clothing she wore prior to shapeshifting as it reappears after, and there are some attributes between the two forms.

With great senses comes greater drawbacks--Loud noises can hurt her ears; Bright flashes of light makes her eyes disoriented. Overwhelming stenches give her migraines.
Not being able to eat enough tends to backfire on her and induces her Predator's Instinct, making her more feral and less stable with her normal mindset (Big case of the munchies)

- As a human, her fighting style is more calculated. She goes for the offensive attack as she sweeps for the legs to bring the person down to her level before going at them.
- As a wolf, she uses claws and teeth, using her speed to it's fullest to tire the other person before going in at full force. It's more agility defensive fighting.

Her face rarely is rarely expressive, but that does not mean she is purely emotionless. Habit and years have left her with knowing to keep things hidden until the opportune moment--....or until someone hits button repeatedly. Her bite is worser than her bark and it's best for anyone involved to be on her good side rather than her bad. Or to leave her alone all together, since she prefers her solitude. History:
As many took to the rise of mutated humans as signs of omens and people to avoid, a few Native Tribes took to the mutations as signs of blessings. To thrive and adapt to their land and change with it along the way. Their culture, however, was just about as well preserved as their community. Spaced out, deteriorating the further from the Reservations, but still there. Coupled with a long-standing feud over land between Navajo and Hopi tribes in Arizona, both sides knew that even with the benefits of having mutations on their side, they would never be able to prosper over their own land if they were always against each other. Some partnerships were made, mostly familial and others out of pure friendship, there were the few occassions that actual marriages were made from these tribal mergers. Case in point was the example of Broderick and Gwen, two life long friends despite the uneasy mutual agreement against the tension from their tribes, and were promeniently referred to as how a working community should be--working together instead of against.While the "arranged" marriage was mostly unspoken but strongly urged, it still left the two awkward to talk about it. Rather focusing on being good friends more than anything. As they were both mutants in the community (he, a healing mutant and she, a speedster mutant), they ostracized outside in the city with the divide between regular humans and mutated humans, it helped the two to form a closer bond that they relied on each other for emotional support. It helped them in the long run with one knowing that in the long-run, they always had someone to run to when the going got tough. But they were each other's greatest weakness as well. It became very evident when Broderick fell in love with Gwen first, and it took her a long time to reciprocate out of her own conflicting feelings, but the two were married and a small boy was born not long after their union.
The boy brought into the world was named Levi, and was quickly taught the ways of how the world worked, within the tribes and the outside city, the differences between humans and mutants and the underlying responsibilty on both sides. He was born normal and as he grew older, he showed no signs of having any mutated genes and while Broderick and Gwen were excited to see what would become of their son when he reached puberty, they were content to have him as he was, because he made their small family whole. By his seventh year, Gwen was pregnant with another child, and Levi, while used to having the affection of both parents devoted to just him, he eventually warmed to the idea of being an older brother. But as her due date was drawing near, Gwen was growing weaker, to the point that most days she could hardly get out of bed--her own body weight coupled with the weight of an unborn babe wearing her energy down and tiring her easily. Broderick did the best as he could, but his time was split between healing his wife and healing the other members on the Reservation. Levi was just as worried for his mother, but then there was a small sun ray of hope in the last two months. Gwen's health picked up, she was more lively, and she went into labor with no problems.
Then shortly after she died. There were some things even Broderick couldn't heal, even when things looked relatively fine, there was always problems left unchecked underneath. Viola was born into the world healthy and fine herself, Broderick never blamed her for the loss of his wife, but the two children lost another parent emotionally as the man was left utterly heartbroken. He tried his best to still provide for them, but when he had abandoned them both all but physically, Gwen's older sister stepped in to help care for the two young kids. The ordeal stress from losing his mother trigged Levi's mutation, and he felt more alone even with the Aunt's help, so he sought out to find his own family during his time between school and nightfall.
Viola on the other hand, grew up always in her brother's shadow, trying to follow him some days but always being sent home as he deemed his own activities too dangerous. Her father wasn't always attentive, so Aunt Adelaide and her younger son Terry felt more of a family than anything. Though she was blind, Adelaide always seemed to know when Viola would create small bits of mischief with Terry, but raised the two cousins to have a good heart and not seek out everything through malice. They would need that lesson when they were older, in case their mutations showed, as she firmly implanted the belief:
"It is not the Mutation that Causes Evil, But the Person Who Chooses."
Slowly but surely, Broderick's old self was coming back on nights when it was just him and Viola. She'd hang around with him late at night waiting for Levi to come home as he was finishing paperwork, and the two slowly bonded during their night talks. He talked to her as a fellow adult sometimes and Viola found that fun, being a grown-up for a few hours, as though it were a game. As Levi was growing into his mid-teens and Viola was going through the ropes of Elementary Trials, he came out to the family with his mutation, fully under control and quite proud of how well he'd come thus far. Viola was completely enamored, starry-eyed that her older brother's own secret training paid off so well. Their father was mostly impassive, brushed the idea aside and kept on with his work. Levi remained just as unemotional to the push-off, but he left that night and didn't come back. Viola didn't see her brother for a few years after that night, worried for his well being but knew he could take care of himself. She was oblivious to the brewing hate and jealousy growing within him.
She had her own troubles instead, more so among her classmate and peers. By her tenth year, her own mutation was slowly emerging, eyes growing lighter in hue and teeth growing sharper. The changes were subtle but not fully noticeable until her ears grew longer and furrier, mimicing close to a wolf's ears. Her father took notice, and at first his reaction was similar to Levi's, but he began to joke around with her about it. Calling her Little Maicoh, and providing his own advice when her schoolmates began to shy away from her more due to her outward appearance. There were a few kids that began to tease and fight her, trying to provoke, and she readily fought back, scrappily defending herself--even in the Principal's Office. Viola didn't mind her family's approval, but slowly retreated into herself and became more quiet, taking in the fact she was growing different and would have to stay within the Reservation for awhile. Levi returned years later when she was 12, having dressed in fancier clothes, more reserved and poised. Again, Viola was thoroughly impressed with how his life was turning around now that he was in his 20s and he took interest into her mutation as well, casually hinting that his was just as similar. She'd never seen it work in person, but she grew interested as well and wanted to see it someday, thinking he'd be a good tutor for her down the road. He promised this idea, and the two looked forward it. In the following weeks, she noticed some rising tension between Levi and their father, but find it come to a full head when she came home one morning and the older man was gone. Turning to Levi for an explanation, he told her that Broderick had to leave away on important business and wouldn't be coming back for some time. Levi took over as her guardian for a few months, keeping them both further away from Adelaide...Viola still had her own suspicions. Her discolored eyes proved to work well at night, and she noticed Levi was yet again sneaking away to who knew where.
She uncovered that his clothes where due to the business he ran with his new friends, the ones that took him in during his time away. She snuck away from their business spots before he came home, teaching herself and pefecting a mask of neutrality when talking to him. He still regarded her as a small child and only told her vauge descriptions of where he'd been and that it was none of her concern. Just that they were family. She grew irritable at his lies and it took every fiber in her being not to lash out just yet. She needed more evidence. She needed to know what was going on with him. It took major sleuthing, when she noticed the wedding ring on Levi's hands that their father always wore and never took off, it dawned on her with the worst assumption. That her brother had something to do with their father's disapperance.
Later that night she called him out on it over dinner. Levi did not turn away, nor did he deny anything. He was quiet for a few solid minutes, waiting for the time to tick away into an hour until he spoke very quietly and eerily calm: He killed their father in cold blood. As a testament to his loyalty to his group, and for a personal vendetta he had with the old man.
Viola was completely livid and lashed out across the table, scratching at her brother with her tiny fists and nails, trying to inflict pain on him like he caused her with ripping the family apart. Levi formed himself into a rather large coyote and struck at the smaller girl, pushing her back and ripping her back skin open like a flimsy ragdoll. Viola howled in pain, and her mutation grew in full force, she transformed into a full wolf herself and lashed out again, the two fought out against each other throughout the house. They would've easily went at it all night had Adelaide not intervene hours later, Levi fleeing the scene as Viola reverted back, scarred, bruised, bleeding and beaten. She recovered slowly at her Aunt's, the scars slow to heal but the feelings and trust worn further. Weeks went by and the duress of her Mutation contacted officials from Jean Grey's School of Higher Learning. Adelaide forced Viola to go, if not for her own safety from her missing brother, but also to help better herself.
Over the course of two years at Jean Grey's, Viola was slow to open up, lashing out to most who tried to get close to her, resigning to herself to just heal and get better. She did make the occassional friend or two, but felt a lot better at the idea that she wasn't around them 24/7--case in point was Josh Cooper, who easily tired her out whenever he talked. Any roommates she had, she was quickly transferred again, proving to be too ruthless to keep in a cohabitated environment, so she was left alone for nearly a full year. Then she was tasked to watch over a much younger roommate, who had similar aggression problems and the idea, while sound in theory, proved to be much hard to work when put into practice. Her name was Jaiden and the two were--for lack of a better term, very quiet towards each other. Viola kept to her space, and the younger Aussie kept to hers. It wasn't until they were often paired up in combat class that Viola did find Jaiden "somewhat" interesting. Being that they shared a bitter outlook on life and made jokes at their own expense, they bonded a little and Viola was slowly feeling a little happier.
In her 16th year, her Aunt contacted her from back home in Arizona, as Terry went missing. The police were no help--even though the boy wasn't a mutant at all, his family was majorly associated with them, so the entire tribe was trying to help the woman out. Viola didn't want to leave the school but the sudden absence brought about past fears of what she went through, so she left without hesitation.

Viola has her own reasons for coming back, calling it her own hiatus from the school. Education wise, she managed to graduate during her time away thanks to online learning, but while the bitter scowl remains, she's more quiet than before about her time away and doesn't like to talk about it. She'd rather focus on working on getting better than him.

"Okay."A sighless breath that built and festered inside near her heart finally let loose, releasing a weight off of her shoulders and center of gravity. It was a good decision. It had to be; It was the best decision for this. Her Father was on leave yet again, and Grandmama, bless her heart, her optimisim couldn't fix this problem. Not this time. Not like the other times when she'd come home crying because of a failed attempt at making a new friend, or when she got stage fright in the school play. No, this time, Csilla could only solve this herself. She couldn't bring more embarrassment to her family, nor give them any reason to throw her away as her mother did.
Clicking the "send" button on the website, Csilla submitted her application to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and sighed a small sound of relief. Although her laptop remained on the bed, she remained afloat in the air, literally weightless now and hoping she wouldn't regret her decision down the road. It would be better this way, for everyone involved.
