Description
"It's been years since the Hoenn Battle Frontier was closed after a hurricane swept the Island in one devastating storm. It lay abandoned after the attempts to rebuild were scratched and nature took over until Professor Eucalyptus began rebuilding with the few powerful favors she had collected in her life. It took her nearly four years to rebuild it with help but finally she and some of the staff of the UBF opened it for business. A year went buy with very little activity until the UBF decided to hold its tournament here."While the Hoenn Frontier Island is similar to the original version its buildings have been redesigned and some of the Island has changed with time. Please use the available information below and in other deviations to help with your art.

Hoenn Frontier Layout
The Accommodation [not shown]
Accommodation is free.
The accommodation, built to hurricane standards is located underground in a large tangle of tunnels that criss-cross the whole island. The only access points are at at the underground levels of the Hives and at the Administration which can be quite a walk for the unlucky. Every trainer is given the same accommodation due to space issues which is provided at a low cost. Each unit (fairly small in size) contains two bathrooms, a connected lounge room and kitchen (decked out with the basics) plus five soundproof bedrooms.
Each trainer is assigned a room where they will live, for the duration of their stay, with another four trainers and are expected to share the given resources. Food, bedding, toiletries (including toilet paper) and cutlery are not provided and can be bought at the store. Electricity, water and wireless internet are provided with the room.
Light is completely artificial.
Battle Hives [1 to 5]
All the Battle Hives are round buildings that tower above the Island. They are nine floors (each floor is about six metres high) above the ground and three underground. Each stadium, except the Sky Stadium, is three floors high. The Sky Stadium is only two floors high but with no roof allowing battles to proceed into the sky. The last floor that is located on ground level is administration where trainers are required to sign in to in order to use the elevators.
Administration/Dormitories [6]
All trainers are required to proceed to administration when they enter the Island if they wish to participate in any activities or use the accommodation. The buildings is a plain white, metal-roofed cottage-like structure with no interesting features other than windows.
Upon entering the building you will notice that a row of desks, like in banks in the center with two doors on either side. These doors lead to the accommodation which is 5 floors high.
The left and right inside walls of the building before the desks are broken by seats and promotional displays. The promotional displays are free-standing book shelves with advertisement posters stuck to the wall above.
Research Lab [7]
The Research Lab is primarily used by Prof. Eucalyptus. All the data from the Hives on the battles and pokemon is streamed here for study. It is said to have an underground lounge for the Brains. The building appears like a white, two story mansion though it is mainly surrounded by a forest that hides most of it from view. Trainers are allowed to visit the ground floor where there pokemon can be examined for fighting capabilities among other things. You can heal your pokemon here.
Pokemart [8]
The mart orders in supplies from around Hoenn and provides the members of the Hoenn Frontier with all the usually supplies from basic food and ingredients to bedding and toiletries. Unsual supplies can be ordered in from here. Has a country house style as well.
Cafe and Resturant [9]
The building provides an alternative food source at all hours throughout the week though during 12pm and 8pm only a few items are available on the menu. The building is two stories in a white, country house style with a veranda at the front and back on both stories. The menu is affordable and a bar is located at the back half of the bottom floor.
Park [10]
The Park is a narrow strip of grass surrounded by a thick pathway. During festivals and events this area is transformed with stalls, tents and decorations. Fireworks are fired from this grass strip.
Jetty [11]
Primarily used for the docking of the UBF Ship but can be used accessed by anyone.
Vegetation Map
The light green spotted areas represent the where the vegetation can be found. This plant density varies with the areas furthest away from buildings being thicker.

Nope, I have placed a detailed description in the comments and then the Hives have their own deviation. I'm still don't have enough time to do the detailed deviations for the other buildings. You can see part of the cafe and mart in my spring festival deviation.

Your map is great, very clean and easy to read. :3 My only question is for the kind of vegetation (in a very general sense) - is the island limited to shrubs/smaller plants, or are trees present as well? Thanks!

Thanks A variety of vegetation is found. The further away from the buildings, the denser and more numerous trees are. Closer to the buildings you'll see manly shrubs and berries trees with a light scattering of larger trees.

Are pokemon aloud to walk freely in the frontier or do they need a trainer to accompany them?

They may walk freely but they have to be on their best behaviour

Ok, so now a stupid question:
where is the island located? I mean, near what town or city?

pandemoniumfire In reply to Libeldra [2011-03-31 20:48:35 +0000 UTC]
It's located at the site of the original Hoenn Battle Frontier (try goggling it). We made it easier to find than the Snowpoint Domes XD

Question with the rooms - is lighting 100% artifical or is there sunroofs (can not think of the proper term for them - clear plastic roofing) in parts?

pandemoniumfire In reply to Gladys-Design [2011-03-29 02:02:17 +0000 UTC]
Lighting is completely artificial (sun roofs would look to weird from above, they'd just randomly dot the ground XD)
