Description
The text is by Cynthia Geohring and is my chosen text for an illustration assignment in which we have to illustrate a text over a 5 page spread plus a single page (11 pages total) as well as half title page and cover.Of course I would choose rats and I'm so happy I took all those photos of rats now

This is so beautiful
I actually felt like crying at the end. Rats are such special and fascinating companions. I don't think anyone who's never had them can understand the love they can give.

I fully agree. So many people who have told me they "hate rats" have changed their mind when I've actually gotten them to hold a rat

<3 Part of the reason I like this so much is that it puts into words what every rat owner feels as their rat lives it's life. When I first commented on this, my darling little rex ratty Jessica was at that stage where I was feeling her hip bones where their used to be just fluff over flubber.
Yesterday Jessica went to the trees and now i'm all alone.

Aww. I bet here life was brighter than anything, I believe that there short lifespans are made up for in how much impact they leave behind

Aw thanks <3 I heard a quote once that said: "Life is not about how many breaths one takes, but how many moments take one's breath away..."

D: They've* // I'm just being silly, I've always thought having a pet rat would be cool, but convincing my mom would be hard, and we have two cats, and four kittens, and while three of them will be gone in two weeks, that's still a lot. Plus I'd hate having to let go of one when they're time comes, it'd just kill me, I get so attached to my pets, T.T
I watch a few people with rats and they always have positive things to say about them.

Kittens! I've always gotten attached to my pets (even the fish XD) and it's never easy letting them go but I believe that the shorter they burn, the brighter they are!
