Great Blue heron fledglings in late afternoon light. They are still in the nest but are practicing their flying skills. The upcoming maiden flight could be the only one they ever get to try because they are in a tree that is surrounded by water... and there are alligators that like to keep a hungry eye pointed at this tree full of potential snacks.
