This is a redo of an older work. I'm pretty happy with how it came out! It sure took long enough to do. xD I admit I wish the colors were a bit nicer, I feel they're dull, but I suppose I can always go back and edit them.. What do you guys think?
The idea behind the pic is pretty cheesy... Lizzy and Ciel are more open with one another, it is a couple years in the future from the current point in the series. Ciel went on a very dangerous assignment, Lizzy had wanted to go but he hadn't let her. She said at the very least she wanted to see him as soon as he got back, and he agreed. When he gets back it's nightfall and Lizzy has already gone to sleep, and he has a couple cuts he needs tended to, but remembering his promise he goes to her anyway.
Lizzy sees his injuries, is upset and guilt-ridden, etc, and the scene above happens.
Ahh, if only they could have such a sweet, open relationship...
But I know it's impossible because Kuroshitsuji really isn't a romance, and likely never will be.

Lizzy's entire family knows what Ciel does for a living according to recent chapters of the manga. I think the only thing they don't know is about the contract with Sebastian and what happened to Madam Red.

Well... yea, I don't believe I said in the description that I felt they didn't know his actual job. What I meant by 'open with one another' was Ciel being open with Lizzy about his feelings, their relationship being more honest on that front. (Like when Lizzy opened up to Ciel about her 'cuteness' during the battle on the ship and protected him, and how Ciel in turn said he couldn't hate her when she was concerned that he did.)

Hmmmm...... Well, right now I'm not a big fan of this arc of Kuroshitsuji, it's a school arc. But the stuff before this arc I loved. Take that as you will when deciding which one to catch up with first. Can't speak for Naruto and Bakuman since I'm also nowhere near current/done with either of them.

I love the colours and, as someone else mentioned, the body language. Sure, in the old one Lizzie's expression said remorse and guilt, but in this one both her body language and her expression do. I love it. <3

I never could get into Kuroshitsuji; tried TWICE and I don't know, I never got very far into it, but now I kind of want to try again. The lighting in this is what really caught my eye at first, and then the body language (much better than in the old version, I think). And I don't think you should worry about the colours; the subdued, dark look gives it a nice atmosphere.

Well, I suppose Kuroshitsuji's not for everybody? It even took me a while to really be "INTO it" so to speak. I mean, I liked it, but it just took a while for me to really care about the characters enough to eagerly await the next chapter.. I'm not liking the current arc much, but some of them have been really great, and that's what keeps me hanging on.

Hmm, that may be my problem too. I don't tend to think of characters as being important to my enjoyment of the things I read, since I rarely relate to any of them, but I guess I really do have to like at least one early on or I get super bored.
