It was supposed to go wonderfully, smooth as if a gliding ship upon tranquil waters, sailing under the covers of cloudy skies. But it was not his lucky night.

Everything had gone nicely until someone roused all the guards. Suddenly the complex was crawling with activities!

He could sight his exit. It was *right* there. Tantalizing. But forbidden. It was not possible to reach it without revealing himself to the alerted patrolmen. He gritted his teeth, silently wondering what had happened. He was sure he had not set any alarms off, he was not new at this. He was a professional. There was another possibility. They might NOT be looking for *him*.

If that was the case, he could remain hidden in the shadows and waited his chance to slip out. But, if they WERE looking for him, every minute he stayed in their compound increased the risk of being found out.
