Description
One creates a better world, the other creates what we've had for centuries. Change begins with the individual. We each have a choice. I've made mine.See also: [article] The Good, the Bad and the Projections
People say "think positive".
People say "focus on the good things in life".
So, what then is "good" and what is "bad"?
The problem I've noticed, is that the good things scare the shit out of us while we love the bad things, because: the idea of good and bad is completely subjective. It wouldn't be if we lived in a society of clear communication, but we live in a society of narrow mindedness. Even the smartest most awake most aware person still has their own amount of narrow mindedness, because we've all been brought up in the world we've been brought up in.
Adulthood has become a state of extended adolescence, so adults tend to view good and bad the same way a 4 year old views good or bad.
When something "bad" that we love because we are addicted to it and attached to it, begins to exit our lives in order for our life to improve and become more happy and productive -- we think God is punishing us. Or

The obvious hides in plain sight from most people. You're not most people.

Someone once gave conservatives some good advice - "We will be hated for doing the wrong and well be hated for doing the right thing. If we're going to be hated either way then just do the right thing."

At the current stage of society as a whole, that is true universally until such time as humanity pulls its collective head out of its ass. As I like to say: some people just aren't happy unless they just aren't happy and theres absolutely nothing you can do about it, so learn to be at pace with it.
Love will be viewed as pollyanna or naivety.
Kindness will be viewed as creepy, perverse and offensive.
Compassion will be viewed as weakness and desperation.
Politeness will be viewed as rudeness, imposition or condescending belittlement.
Passion and honesty will be viewed as arrogance and narcissism.
Calm will be viewed as disrespect.
Peaceful action viewed as deception.
Authenticity viewed as agenda.
Rational will be viewed as its opposite.
Genius will be viewed as insanity.
Intelligence will be viewed as vanity.
War as peace, slavery as freedom and ignorance as strength.
We live in a completely Orwellian world.
The fact that we know we do, is the proof that we won't be stuck in this forever.
A better world is on the horizon.

Another one people believe-
Forgiveness is viewed as a nullification of Justice.

Yeah, thats another common pile of horse shit.
Forgiveness is about purging the cancer of hate from ourselves so that it doesn't destroy us from the inside out.
The idea that in order to "forgive" we have to "forget" is nonsense. Forgive, and don't forget either.
Forgiveness is not supposed to be a doorway to naivety and being screwed over.

Add to that something 'entertainment'(books, TV/Movies, Comics) is the line, "I don't hate you but I won't forgive you." Um. . .not forgiving is still hating.
Forgetting can happen when Justice has been done.

Forgetting shouldn't ever happen, otherwise history will always be repeated. We can't correct mistakes if we refuse to learn from them. Learning requires remembering.

True. I think the best way to put it, "Don't forget but don't let it consume you."
