Description
Who else would watch a series on this? The Mane Five web browsers, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Internet Explorer, seem to enjoy each other's company after all! This is a ~1920x1080 image for use as a desktop background. Will try and sort out other resolutions later, though I'm sure most of you have a mastery of typical image cropping techniques
Big thanks to , , and for their designs of Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer respectively! Your designs were perfect for this. Visitors can check them out by clicking the thumbnails below:

I'm probably going to tweak the image a little over time, happy with it for now though.

Not sure if the IE icon's lack of aliasing is intentional...

Hm. I would've thought Chrome would be rolling about (or else resting) on her beachball.

Haha, now I'm imagining this scene but where they've all brought their various props along. Should have them in a pile in the corner or something

That would be fantastic. I wonder why no browsers are unicorns, though.

More coincidence than anything else. I'm mulling it over, though (will update all past/future art as appropriate).

I'm still waiting for Netscape Pony.
I mean, he/she/whatever(i'm not leaving anyone out) is the original graphics based web browser(maybe Netscape can be a ancient ghost or something, watching over the children or whatever)! Actually, why non of the really old text browsers too? They are all important history to the web!
Still, fabulous job on the image! Great job on the coloring and shadowing!

Unfortunately, Netscape as some of us knew it no longer exists. (As much as I personally wish that it still did, as it was my No. 1 browser-of-choice back in the day.) I think it was phased out when Mozilla bought whatever company produced and released Netscape, and Firefox (and whatever others Mozilla produces) are its successors.
Sad, really.
Excellent pics, all. I already have the Google Chrome one, and am using it on my comp's Chrome browser. NOW all I have to do is figure out HOW to convert the OTHER two (the Firefox (Firemare?) and I.E. ones, that is) from .PNG into .icos (or whatever they need to be) so I can use THEM on my comp's browsers, as well.
I have the Opera and Safari ones, too (so far, I just have the Opera browser. If anyone has or uses the Safari one, letr me know if it's any good or not, okay? I want as many RELIABLE browser options as I can get!

Though the Internet Explorer pony must feel sad because of IE's uselessness.

Everything is compatable with IE, it's why I keep it around. In this group, I think of her as the versatile one who is at least decent in any situation, and likely the group leader (being older and more experienced than any of the others)

Except not. Opera is actually a bit older (Though it wasn't available for anyone outside the company until much later)
Also, Firefox has a very great number of exclusive plugins. I personally think it's a bit more flexible.
Although, as I said, IE and Opera are, at time of writing, the only ones with the most updated security.

IE is way, way better than the reputation it gets. It really is.
That said there is still no reason to use it over Chrome. Poor IE pony.

I've been an Opera user for years. The only thing I use IE for is to download Opera when I reinstall the OS on occasion.
