Description
This is a procedure to remove the "More Like This" section next to each deviation and the "More Like This" overlay that appears at the bottom of thumbnails. I don't want to be scrolling to click the 'download' button, so this is my solutionDo not tell me this solution doesn't work for your specific browser. If you have a solution for users using a different browser, feel free to post it below. I do not want you to tell me this isn't good enough for you. I'm not here to fix dA's messes; I've provided a solution that worked for me, not a promise that I'll make everyone happy.
Install instructions - Firefox
Ensure you are using FireFox: www.mozilla.org/en-US/products…
Install Stylish: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…
Restart Firefox
Left click the Stylish Icon at the bottom right of the browser to bring up the menu >> Write New Script >> Blank Style...

Are the affected images still download or does the extension stop that as well?

I've seen content flash up momentarily in the past with this form of extension, so I suspect some images may still load until the browser realizes they are not needed. Why?

Metered internet, the userscript stopping little image downloads in addition to hiding the frame would have been a 'bonus' for me. But just doing its intended job is good enough.

It's a browser extension that exists on your computer so it only affects what you see.

Q: - does installing stylish result in unwanted programs also being installed? I only ask because I seem to be getting coupon caddies popping up lately, not long after installing this.

I don't know anything about "coupon caddies". Stylish is a browser extension - it changes how content received by your browser is displayed. It shouldn't be sending any data out to the net to change which ads are sent to you.

I've had it for a couple of years without any mishaps, but I've noticed that when I re-installed it recently, coupon caddies and saver add-ons started appearing. basically, when random words on any given page are highlighted in red and serve as links to stuff you don't want. I can't be certain Stylish is doing this, but I can't think what else could be causing it. I'll leave it off for a week or so and see what happens.

Another question: can you write, or has someone already written, a script to get rid of the new "Featured in Collections" thing on the right? Or at least swap its position with the "More from dA" part to put it where it used to be. I don't mind the "More like" part so much anymore as it's helped me find some artists I wouldn't have otherwise, but I really don't give a crap if something is in some other person's collection of favorites or not. Thanks again for all your hard work!

You can remove that section by adding some extra code at the end of the script:

This. I have to thank you so much. I didn't have much of a problem with More Like This/More from DA until it started showing disgusting things unrelated to my artwork. So, again, I have to thank you for making this style to at least hide it from my eyes.
