Description
This tutorial explains how a buyer and an artist can set up payment using deviantART's Commission Widget. Through this process, the artist receives CASH through PayPal. The artist DOES NOT receive any points. There is a two week delay between when the buyer sends payment and when the artist receives the funds through PayPal.

i have a question. Why are my commissions closed now? They were alweays available but now it says its closed and the payment button isnt there anymore on the widget.

I think this would be a technical problem which needs an urgent fix.
I set my commission widget successfully and peachteatime told me that they sent me a commission request via the widget. But there were no artist approves offer sent to me and nothing appears in my notifications and even in the earning.

You might need to file a help desk ticket on that one, it's hard for me to troubleshoot the issue like the staff can

Click on edit page and then the misc section, the commission tab should be in one of the bottom rows

Uh, how do I link my PayPal to my DA? I think in order to withdraw you have to have a PayPal? So how exactly do I send it to my PayPal if it's not anywhere on my DA acc? I tried going to settings but it doesn't show anywhere.

Hello! I've been having issues with my commissions since I started out here on DeviantArt. I write out the commission and add pictures. But when I click "save", poof. It all disappears. I've tried everything: not adding pictures, using eclipse (which made the widget glitch out and made all of my commissions appear as background text??), and using different prices.
I am a core member.
If anyone knows how to fix this issue, it would really help me.

So...... The commission widget needs a Paypal account to work? Wow........ I wish I had known that before I accepted a payment because I don't have a paypal.......

Actually it doesn't, but it's a waste to use the commission widget when you don't have PayPal because it takes a percentage of your payment. That's why most Artist's use 100 Points = to $1 even though it's actually ($1 = 80 Points.)

can i remove old commissions after i'm done with them or do they have to stay i'm really paranoid all the stuff will disappear if i take it down

By old commissions, are you talking about the ones you already created on your widget? Click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of the widget, and click on ''Edit Widget''. From there, you can choose to edit, hide, or remove a commission.
However, it will delete any pending commissions if a person already requested it.

i think you edit your profile and scroll down to widgets, click on the "misc" category and it should be there?
