I was so surprised that there wasn't a full tutorial on Points, especially not found easily. So I took some time and put this together.
Time taken: About 2-3 Hours

Edit 1: I have gotten some suggestions to add a chunk about the Llama Trade. However until I have some time, to add it I would like to explain it here [removed]
Edit 2: Fixed a typo!
Edit 3: Because of the release of Version 7, (Tutorial for it here at the top of these comments) I will be updating this shortly with changes to accommodate V7.

This is great! You really did a nice job with this. I like that you want to help other users by explaining points to them. This should be the official point tutorial for all new users. It was pleasurable to read and really interesting. I didn't know about the link to give people points. You really deserved all the points you can get.

I think this tutorial is very helpful! It helped me when i thought i could never get points! I bet all the people that saw this thought it was so helpful like a rich man giving money to the poor.
Probally most people can understand this. it says what to do and it is very simple. I have read the comments and Ive seen people saying "Thanks this is very helpful!" this means they can understand it very clearly.
This tutorial can give people joy! if they cant buy the points you have the llama trading website! The people here are now probally rich with points because of this!
I think this is a perfect tutorial and that everybody should appriciate it!

This is the most helpful point tutorial I've seen. If there was a search to the world button, I would press it. This has helped me gain 23 points! Everybody deserves someway to show there talent, and by using points it helps. I couldn't be able to right this myself- and I'm in raining to be an author!

- I have Commissions - but I don't have PayPal or something like this. I just want points from Commissions on DA account. I don't want them in real life. But. When they pay my Commissions - I don't have a points from Commissions... Why? Or -

Is there a certain amount of time that needs to pass before my points are showed in my balance? I recently -about twenty minutes ago- bought 800 points VIA card through purchase. The money has been taken from my bank account; however, I have yet to see any points in my balance. Do I need to wait a few hours? Or is there a problem?

I assume you got your points by now. DeviantArt transactions generally take a few days. I am not sure exactly how long you should wait to file a ticket about it.

How come, there's an option to buy points with points (as they're shown as payment) but it won't let you?

I guess I don't understand the benefit of paying, say 600 points, to buy 600 points

Anyone who receives points from commissions can convert them to cash. However, points received by methods other than commissions cannot be converted by anyone.
